A private New Jersey university cited Chick-Fil-A's 'corporate values' when rejecting calls for the chain to be brought to campus after students rated the franchise as their top choice in a spring semester survey.
Rider University - a private and nonsectarian school - told students that the decision to reject the suggestion was to foster 'inclusion for all people,' according to a November 1 email obtained by Campus Reform.
The Lawrenceville university felt that Chick-fil-A's 'corporate values have not sufficiently progressed enough to align with those of Rider,' adding that the decision would 'promote... inclusion for all people.'

And while the chain was the top choice on the survey, there were many students, faculty and staff that opposed the option - regardless of how popular it was.
'It is important to me and to the University that all voices are heard,' Rider Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs Jan Friedman-Krupnick told the conservative site.

'There are a number of factors that contribute to a campus' decision to invite a retail partner on campus. While Chick-fil-A is among other restaurants preferenced by Rider students, there are members of the community (faculty, staff, and students) who strongly opposed the option as well.'
'In all of our campus decisions, we carefully weigh benefits, risks and voices representative of all of our campus constituents.'
Julia Pickett, a junior political science major and president of the school's Young Americans for Liberty chapter, understood that the school's decision was their own as a private institution but did not agree.
'I don't think it is fair, however, because Rider is a private college, ultimately the decision is their own,' Pickett asserted.
'If people didn't want to buy their food then they don't have to,' she added. 'I think that the administration of Rider felt that having Chick-Fil-A on campus would cause unwanted controversy and felt that the easiest fix was to find another restaurant. I wish they would be honest about it though instead of trying to cover it as a deep offense to the school.'
The decision from Rider follows a similar sentiment from John Hopkins University where the school's student body government issued preliminary demands stating that they sought 'non-discriminatory alternatives' to be brought to campus instead of the chain.
Schools have blasted Chick-fil-A and its president, Dan Cathy, for an anti-LGBTQIA stance
The school cited comments and actions from President Dan Cathy that were seen anti same-sex marriage and appeared to be discriminatory toward the LGBTQIA community.
Cathy made incendiary comments about same-sex marriage in 2012 during an interview on 'The Ken Coleman Show.'
'I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, "We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage," and I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is about,' he said.
In 2012, Equality Matters released a report showing that the Atlanta based company donated close to $2million to anti-gay groups throughout 2010.
One of those groups was the Marriage & Family Foundation, which prides itself on defeating 'the elevation of Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity to protected class.'

Rider University – a private and nonsectarian school ...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
