«Breaking News» People are asking their parents how to cook a 25LB turkey in the MICROWAVE

With Thanksgiving just a week away, people are trolling their moms and dads by asking them how to cook a 25lb turkey in the microwave as part of a new online challenge. 


The viral prank has left more than a few parents scratching their heads and wondering where exactly they went wrong with their children. 


Using the hashtag #TurkeyChallenge, people are taking to Twitter to share screengrabs of the hilarious text messages their parents sent in response to the ridiculous question.

Many parents tried to be helpful by telling their children to check Google or offering tips for easily cooking a turkey in the oven.


Jenna Barnes explained that her mother 'kept her real thoughts to herself' until she confessed that it was all a joke.   


'I have never cooked a turkey in the microwaves. I don't trust that,' she told her. 'My easy way is in a turkey cooking bag made by Reyolds. Called oven bags.'


Jenna's mom also pointed out that 'a 25-pound turkey would not even fit in the microwave.'  


Another person named Linda revealed that her mother called and gave her the phone number to all of the Boston Markets in her 15-mile radius.

A woman named Maggie shared her mom's thoughtful answers to her bizarre questions, explaining: 'I have asked my mother so many idiotic questions over the years, she is THIS patient with me.'


Her mom even went as far as suggesting she try calling the Butterball hotline.

'You totally have to bake a turkey and usually it's about 15 minutes per pound so a 25 pound turkey would need to bake roughly over 6 hours,' she added. 


'And to have it come out right there's other prep work that has to be done I can tell you more about that if you call me? #turkeyexplodesinmicrowave.'

Others tried to steer their kids away from cooking at all, suggesting instead they grab pre-made poultry at the store.

Of course, some parents couldn't resist laying on the sarcasm. 


'Wrap it in tin foil. Put in microwave. Then go buy a pre-cooked one so you can feed the fire department,' one person's mom responded.

'Tried the whole ask your mom how long to microwave a 25lb turkey for... this is what I got,' Christina Leonardo tweeted along with her mom's brutal response.


'The only thing that came to my mind was who the hell is going to marry you,' the mom wrote.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
