This is the jaw-dropping moment a magician stunned the crowd with an incredible trick on his way to winning the 'World Cup for magicians'.
Eric Chien, 26, performed the incredible illusion, named Ribbon, to win the International Federation of Magic Societies' world title at this year's event in Busan, South Korea.
He wowed judges and fans alike with his performance, with several taking to social media to share their stunned reactions.
Eric shared footage of his trick to his YouTube channel, where it has been viewed more than 3.6 million times in just a few weeks.
The trick sees him use a line of ribbon as a divider line between two decks of cards.
On one side of the line Eric keeps a blue deck of cards while on the other side is a deck of red cards.
Cards passing the line change colour, while Eric also incredibly changes the colour of his waistcoat too.
To take it even further, the red cards start to disappear and he even shows one of the blue cards somehow being split in half by the ribbon.
He then somehow makes all of the cards turn into coins before they later disappear leaving open-mouthed viewers scratching their heads trying to work out how he did it.
The International Federation of Magic Societies' world championship title is a contes that is only held once every three years.
Eric Chien, 26, performed the incredible illusion, named Ribbon, where he uses a line of ribbon to transform two decks of cards, even making them disappear
Given the duration between competitions, 26-year-old Eric's trick faced tough competition.
But in this recently-released footage, Eric shows just why the judges, magicians and the public were mesmerised by his trick.
Eric, who was raised in the United States but is currently based in Beijing, China, said: 'I had the idea of the ribbon and frames two years ago but I didn't come up with a story to tie them together until last year.
'After I wrote the script for my story, I started thinking of impossible effects that I can accomplish if this ribbon really had powers, and all I have to do is just figure out how to achieve the effect in real life.
'Not a lot of magicians have a story to their routine, and it's even more rare to have a storied routine without talking.
At one point, the magician leans over during the illusion and when he jumps back, you can see that his black waistcoat has changed to blue and red
The judges, magicians and the public were all mesmerised by his trick, which Eric admits took a long time to perfect. He says that he wanted to tell a story without uttering a single word
'My routine is special because I was able to explain my story without saying a single word, and just bombard the spectators with visual effects after visual effects.'
FISM is worldwide confederation of magic societies that holds the World Championship of Magic in both a stage discipline and a table-top or 'close-up' discipline every three years.
The location for each World Championship of Magic is bid for and voted on by the membership.
This year's installment, in July, was in Busan, South Korea, while the 2021 contest will take place in Quebec City, Canada.
As the illusion reaches its conclusion, Eric pushes the cards under the ribbon and the audience gasps as they somehow transform into silver coins
The top scoring winner in both stage and close-up is awarded the Grand Prix in their category, which Eric claimed.
Though he acknowledges the general public may not have heard of the tournament, to magicians, Eric said, it's like the Olympics.
He added: 'When I was crowned champion, I was extremely emotional.
'I have a video of me receiving the Close-Up Grand Prix trophy and I was just in tears because it's a dream come true.
Eric (pictured left and right) was born in the US but is currently based in China. On the left you can see him being given the trophy after being named world champion
'Being the first Asian magician to ever win this award is an incredible feeling.'
Commenting on YouTube, Eric said: 'I am really excited to share my Fism Act with everyone, I know you guys have been waiting for a while now. Though winning Fism is a big accomplisment, it is also just the beginning for me.
'I've been behind the scenes for most of my magic career and its finally time for me be on stage performing.
'I have lots of things planned out right now and I cant wait to show you guys what I can do! Thank you everyone for the support and love, and please like and share my act, it will help me greatly.'
Incredulous viewers responded to the video on YouTube, sharing their amazement.
One said: 'If you slow down the speed of the video to 0.25, you will be confused in slow motion'.
Another commented: 'I use sleight of hand to demonstrate magic, you use magic to demonstrate sleight of hand.. that was one of the best acts I've seen man.'
While a third said: 'People complaining about video editing is the best compliment you can get as a magician.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
