It was one of the most popular movies back in 2006.

But Amanda Bynes has now revealed that seeing herself dressed as a boy in She's The Man led her to a 'deep depression for 4-6 months'.

In her first major interview since her public breakdown in 2014, the 32-year-old revealed to Paper magazine it was her first time admitting to anyone that the 'super-strange and out-of-body experience' role left her with a mental illness.

'I went into a deep depression for 4-6 months because I didn't like how I looked when I was a boy,' she confessed, adding: 'I've never told anything that'.

Amanda's She's The Man character saw her play a teen girl dressing in drag to pose as her brother - to allow her to join her college soccer team.

And things didn't seem to get any better for the former child star, faking symptoms of ADD to get a psychiatrist to prescribe her with Adderall.

'I definitely abused Adderall,' she said, recalling how she read a magazine article call 'the new skinny pill' around the time she was filming Hairspray in 2007.

And things continued to spiral for Amanda in 2010, quitting filming Hall Pass in 2010 for not liking her appearance.

The What A Girl Wants star said she would chew her Adderall tablets in her trailer because she thought she got more high that way. It got to the point that she was unable to memorize her lines.

Amanda recalled seeing an image of herself 'on the screen and literally tripping out' because she thought her arm 'looked so fat' before she left the film.

The actress had a similar experience in 2010 during a screening of her last film, Easy A, explaining that she 'couldn't stand' her appearance in it.

'I was high on marijuana when I saw that but for some reason it really started to affect me,' she recalled.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
