Legendary band Abba have joined Twitter - and super fans are excited.
The Swedish pop group - who have not released a studio album of new music since 1981's The Visitors and have not toured since 1979/80's Abba: The Tour - have set speculative tongues wagging, given the sudden appearance on the micro-blogging site.
This had led fans to believe something big is in the pipeline for the group, who went on a permanent break in the early 1980s and have insisted that a reunion will never take place.

They have arrived: Legendary band Abba have joined Twitter - and super fans are excited
Yet, in 2016, Simon Fuller - who was responsible for the Spice Girls - announced in a statement that the group would be reuniting to work on a new 'digital entertainment experience', due for the spring of 2019.
Last April, the band announced they have recorded two brand new tracks - I Still Have Faith In You and Don't Shut Me Down.
An announcement then came that a TV special - ABBA: Thank You for the Music, An All-Star Tribute - was being made for 2019.
The show was originally planned for a Christmastime release, but the Daily Star reported in September that it wasn't ready.

Together again! Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again fans were treated to a mini-reunion on Saturday's X Factor as stars Lily James, Hugh Skinner, and Jeremy Irvine, all appeared together
'It was planned for the end of this year,' band member Björn Ulvaeus said. 'But I think we are talking about the beginning of next year now. I am very proud of both songs. One is like a pop song from the 70s. The other one is kind of timeless.'
While the sudden Twitter appearance suggests the platform will begin teasing details of the 2019 plans, many fans believe there's even more news afoot.
'Announce tour dates legends!' one person pleaded, as another typed, 'Genuinely thought this would never happen!'
Memes galore popped up, from fans across the world, as the news spread on Wednesday and the group's follower count began to grow.

Masterclass: The show also saw two of the pioneering members of the Swedish band, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, take part, as the music legends helped mentor the singers
The sudden Twitter appearance comes two weeks after the Spice Girls announced they were reforming for a 2019 tour, also joining the social media site for the first time.
Despite Abba's members - Björn, Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad - insisting a reunion will note take place, the musicians have been heavily involved in side-projects that have come from their time as a band.
In 1999, ABBA's music was adapted into the successful musical Mamma Mia! that toured worldwide. This spawned a movie adaptation, released in 2008, which was the highest-grossing film in the UK that year.

Judging: The guests were treated to a host of performances from the contestants including I Have A Dream from Brendan Murray, while Danny Tetley belted out Thank You For The Music
A sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, was released last summer, 10 years on.
Björn and Benny were integral in the production of the musical and both films.
Last Saturday, the cast of the sequel - Lily James, Hugh Skinner, and Jeremy Irvine - were present for The X Factor semi-final, which was ABBA-themed.
The ITV show also saw Benny and Björn take part, as the music legends helped mentor the aspiring singers.

'We did': The quartet wrote on Instagram: 'We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
