«Breaking Pic News» Trump lashes out at Nike for controversial new Colin Kaepernick ad

President Donald Trump blasted Nike Tuesday for sending a 'terrible message' with its new ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick.

Trump weighed in on Kaepernick becoming the face of Nike's Just Do It 30th anniversary campaign, after spending months going after kneeling player protests.

'I think it's a terrible message and a message that shouldn't be sent. There's no reason for it,' Trump told the DailyCaller in an interview published Tuesday afternoon, while Washington was poring over new details in Bob Woodward's explosive book about chaos and insults inside the Trump White House.

Trump even invoked his real estate empire, which is held in trust and is technically being run by his two adult sons and an executive under an arrangement Trump reached after winning the presidency.

'I think it's a terrible message. Nike is a tenant of mine. They pay a lot of rent,' Trump told the conservative-leaning publication.

Trump allowed, however, that letting companies make decisions 'is what this country is all about.'

Nike has a huge store next to Trump Tower, although it is preparing to move its flagship in 2019. It is the largest Trump Organization tenant occupying a single space, Business Insider reported last year.

He said there was 'no reason' for the company to send the message. 'But I think as far as sending a message, I think it's a terrible message and a message that shouldn't be sent. There's no reason for it,' Trump said.

Trump has repeatedly gone after players who have kneeled during the National Anthem to protest the treatment of minorities in the criminal justice system. He also backed the NFL owners in a new policy that keeps protests in the locker room.

Star athletes including Serena Williams praised the company for putting Kaepernick's message at the forefront of its advertising, while quarterback Tom Brady also weighed in.

But Nike customers who opposed Kaepernick's on-the-field protests were outraged by the move.

They are still angry over the NFL's refusal to suspend players who abstained from standing for the national anthem last season. Their ire spawned the hashtag #NikeBoycott.

The league has introduced a new real for the coming season - players must stand or they can choose not to be on the field for the anthem.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
