«Breaking News» A look into Formula One's future: Stunning pictures reveal concept cars for 2021 and beyond

Formula One fans have been given a glimpse into what the sport could look like in the near-distance future.

F1 have released a host of stunning new concept cars on Friday afternoon that will not only improve the overall look of the vehicle but also the action on track.

The sport has been working with the FIA to create a F1 car for 2021 and beyond with an idea to stylistically integrate the halo into the design while helping improve the aerodynamics.

F1 released a couple of different concepts with the above design described as 'more refined and stylistically more aggressive'

F1 have been working alongside the FIA governing body during the design process while keeping the teams in the loop

F1 boss Ross Brawn insisted that the cars must race well together after initial research showed that the current crop struggle to do just that.

'When we started looking at the 2021 car, the primary objective was to enable the cars to race well together,' Brawn told the official website. 'What we established early on in our research is the cars we have now are very bad in following each other.

'Once the cars get within a few car lengths of each other, they lose 50% of their downforce. That's a substantial amount of performance lost. So we set about understanding why that was and how we can improve it. I'm pleased to say we're at about 80%.

'As time has gone on, another of the primary objectives was to make great looking cars. We want cars that look better than what you see in a video game, cars that kids want to have up on their walls. At each stage, as we have been evolving the car, we've had someone we are working with create a graphic representation artist to give us a feel of what the car could look like.

'That is not to control the development, because it's critical this development achieves its objectives, but why shouldn't we have great looking cars as we're evolving the cars? We want a car that is inspiring. F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and the car should look sensational.'

F1 have been working with the governing body throughout the process of designing the sleek new designs for the cars while keeping in touch with all the teams.

Some of the concepts show that the halo above the cockpit is stylistically more integrated with the car's design while others show how the design team are looking at controlling the airflow over the wheels.

Brawn maintains that the tyres and wheels are still the dirtiest areas of the car and can still cause huge disruption to the car's airflow. He believes that this idea can mature as it is worked on over the next few years.

While the ideas are just that at the moment, an idea, work will continue to develop and create the real thing over the next three years.

Brawn is also hoping that the concepts will encourage teams to stay in F1 while also inspiring new teams to join the sport.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
