He is barely able to open his eyes but his condition is stable at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

A close friend said Paul, who is known as 'Baz', is adamant he does not want to return home.

The friend told the Daily Record: 'It's absolutely disgusting that someone would do this to anyone let alone Baz, who wouldn't do you a bad turn.

'He is well known in the area but he is adamant he doesn't want to return to his home now, and you can't blame him.

'They have taken advantage of a vulnerable individual. He would never hurt anyone so why would they want to do this to him?'

The friend added that Paul is gutted but the psychological damage done could be more of a problem than his physical injuries.

It's believed that Paul knew the people who attacked him and had refused them entry to his house.

It is alleged that they then forced there way into his home before carrying out the horrific attack.

His friend said that Paul can't see at the moment because he can't open his eyes but medics have told him that his sight 'should be okay'.

Last night a crowdfunding page set up by a stranger after pictures of Paul’s injuries were shared on social media had already raised £630.

James Carchrie, who set up the crowdfunding page, said on it: 'Nobody deserves to have this happen to them, so let's all band together please, and show some love and support to this poor fella.

'The money will be given to him simply so he knows that people care, and to help him adjust back into life once he has recovered.'

Two teenagers, aged 17 and 18, have been arrested over the incident.

Police said 'inquiries were ongoing'.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the CID via 101.'

Paul, who has mental health issues and is ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
