«Breaking News» Tanya Burr revealed turning blonde 'gave her a new lease of life' days before her split

She announced her split from childhood sweetheart Jim Chapman on Tuesday night following three and half years of marriage.

And Tanya Burr revealed turning blonde 'gave her a new lease of life' and 'confidence' just days before announcing her separation. 

The actress and YouTuber, 29, spoke about her hair transformation to Grazia after dying her brunette locks to a creamy platinum colour last year.

Speaking to the magazine, she said: 'It gave me a new lease of life, I wear a lot less makeup now.

'I didn't realise I was lacking at all, but I just suddenly feel more [confident].'

Talking about whether 'blondes have more fun', she added: 'Yes, I don't know if it's a coincidence but being blonde made me feel more comfortable in my own skin and happy.'

Tanya's interview came just days before she announced her split from childhood sweetheart Jim following three and half years of marriage.

'Confidence': Speaking to the magazine, she said: 'Yes, I don't know if it's a coincidence but being blonde made me feel more comfortable in my own skin and happy.'

The actress took to her Instagram account on Tuesday night to reveal that she and the fellow blogger, 31, have 'made the painful decision to no longer be together'. 

Tanya went on to insist that she and Jim, who share a net worth of £4million, will 'remain friends forever' and have a 'huge amount of love and respect for each other'. 

In a statement posted on her Instagram story, she penned: 'Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together. 

'We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever. 

Candid: She added: 'It gave me a new lease of life, I wear a lot less makeup now. I didn't realise I was lacking at all, but I just suddenly feel more [confident].'

Jim also took to his Instagram stories to share a heartbreaking post about their split, he penned: 'After twelve incredible years, Tan and I have decided to go our separate ways. 

'We're still absolutely the best of friends and have nothing but love and respect for each other.

'We will continued to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds.'

A friend of the couple told The Sun: 'Jim and Tanya are both really sad but the split has been done with love and respect for each other.

'They will stay friends for sure. There was no one to blame they just grew apart.'

MailOnline has contacted both Tanya and Jim's representatives for further comment. 

Tanya and Jim had been in a relationship since December 2006, the model had been in the year above her at sixth form in Norwich.

The former couple got engaged in 2012 during a romantic getaway to New York, they married at Babington House, Somerset, in September 2015. 

Explaining the decision to have an intimate wedding, Jim said at the time: 'I just think we wanted our wedding to be very intimate, very private.

'We share so much of our lives, and we wanted a day where we could just turn everything off.

The couple lived together in a £2million four bedroom London home.

They seemed to hint at their troubles, as neither Tanya or Jim have posted photos of their spouse on their very active social media accounts in the past two months, with Jim's birthday celebrations on December 28 marking the last post they shared together.

Tanya has been working hard on her acting career in recent months, spending most of her time in Los Angeles.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
