A University of Miami Health System plastic surgeon, who appeared on transgender teen Jazz Jennings' reality show, has been fired for allegedly sharing graphic photos on Instagram that showed patients' genitalia after they had undergone gender reassignment surgery.
Dr Christopher John Salgado was recently let go as the section chief of UHealth's LGBTQ Center for Wellness, Gender and Sexual Health.
According to a petition, Salgado, 50, shared photos on the Instagram account @sexsurgeon that violated patient privacy policies and that contained 'racist, transphobic, homophobic comments and hashtags'.
The petition, which was launched by transgender advocates, called for the American College of Surgeons to immediately address Salgado's 'public vulgarity, lack of professionalism, and questionable ethics around patient privacy'.
It's believed the posts were shared beginning in October 2018, but the account has been taken down.
However, one photo seen by DailyMail.com showed a penis that had been shaped into a heart.
That photo was shared as recently as Valentine's Day, and had the caption: 'There are many ways to show your LOVE.'

It's believed the photo was a recently removed penis from a patient who had just undergone gender reassignment surgery.
Other photos showed male and female genitalia in various stages of surgery.
One photo showed a CT scan of a dildo that had become stuck in a person's rectum.
It's caption said that the dildo was from a 'transman that inadvertently released into this person's butt/rectum requiring surgical removal'.
'This mishap during anal intercourse could have been avoided if the transman had a real phalloplasty,' the caption continued.
Some of the hashtags included '#megacock and #analfun'.
A DailyMail.com request for comment to the University of Miami Health System was not immediately returned.
Salgado's information and image has been removed from the UHealth website, but he was previously listed as the co-director of the University of Miami Hernia Center and section chief plastic surgery, University of Miami Hospital.

Salgado, whose schedule is usually booked for months at a time, hasn't commented on the claims against him.
However, sources have claimed that his Instagram account had been hacked.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
