«Breaking News» Roslyn Packer, 80, checks into a $6000-a-night luxury wellness retreat in Thailand

Philanthropist Roslyn Packer, mother of billionaire entrepreneur James Packer, entered Thailand's exclusive Chiva-Som wellness spa recently. 

As reported by The Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday, Roslyn, 80, booked in for a week at the luxury wellness retreat.

The facility costs between $2000 to $6000 a night and has been frequented by the likes of Kate Moss, 45, and Madonna, 60.

Roslyn however, appeared to be in good health according to one British socialite who told the publication: 'She looked absolutely amazing.'

'I couldn't believe she's 80 years old, she had the energy of someone half her age.'

Indeed age doesn't appear to be slowing down the matriarch, who celebrated her 80th birthday in style in November last year.

Following his shock resignation from the board of Consolidated Press Holdings in March 2918, Roslyn's son James, 51, reportedly checked himself into McLean Hospital, a private psychiatric clinic in Belmont, Boston.  

James reportedly booked himself in for a five-week stint at the clinic, which is said to charge its patients a lavish $35,000 a week. 

Hours after the alarming news broke, Roslyn was pictured jetting to the US to be by her son's side who was being treated for what a spokesperson described as 'mental health issues', according to News.com.au.

And while said to split his time between Los Angeles and Aspen, Colorado, James is reportedly remaining in the States to be close to his ex-wife Erica and children Indigo, 10, Jackson, 8 and six year-old Emmanuelle.

Prior to stepping down as director of Crown Resorts, James told Sydney Morning Herald that he won't be returning to Sydney until new casino, Crown Sydney Barangaroo is completed in 2020. 

'I am not going to blow away Sydney forever,' he said, 'but have no desire to be in Sydney before Crown Sydney is ready for debut. I will come back to Sydney to live but I will do it on my terms.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
