«Breaking News» Robbie Williams poses happily with his divorced parents following Vegas gig

Robbie Williams posed happily with his parents Pete and Janet following his gig in Las Vegas on Thursday night - 45 years after the couple's bitter split.

The Rock DJ hitmaker appeared relaxed in the image shared by his father who wrote: 'After show party tonight....first picture of Rob with his mum and dad for 45 years....!! a little bit of history that just had to be shared...proud parents!..well done son.'

Pete, who also goes by his stage name Pete Conway, left the family in 1977 to pursue his career in showbiz after finding fame as a crooner and comedian on talent show New Faces in 1973 - yet all seemed rosy in the new shot.

Robbie opened the first night of his series of gigs in Vegas on Thursday, with the concert winning rave reviews while watched on by his proud parents.

After documenting his arrival and stay thus far in Sin City, Pete shared the sweet shot with his ex-wife and son to prove all is amiable in the relationship.

Robbie is famously close to his mum, who he has previously lauded for helping him through his drink and drug addiction battles.

In 1998 he said: 'My mum is the pillar of strength that has kept me sane throughout my mad life. She's the most important woman in my life and always will be.'

While Robbie, who is parent to Teddy, six, Charlie, four and six-month-old Coco with wife Ayda Field, was happily hitting Vegas, he has been struck by tragedy of late.

The couple were reportedly left heartbroken after their pet turtle Giggs died and left his sister Rooney in 'clinical depression'.

According to The Sun, the former Take That singer, 45, and his wife, 39, have had a 'rough few weeks' after returning to their LA mansion and discovering that their beloved animal Rooney hadn't moved for weeks and was off her food.

In a bid to save their precious pet the pair have reportedly hired an aquatic turtle specialist for advice and are said to be forking out £1,000 on a new turtle pal.

A source told the publication: 'It's been a rough few weeks in the Williams household.

'Poor Giggs died quite suddenly and Rooney - named after Rob's favourite footballer - was deeply traumatised by the episode; she hasn't been the same turtle since. She just sits forlornly, staring into the distance, unmoving.

'Ayda and Rob consulted an animal behaviourist, who diagnosed bereavement-inflicted depression - and said they should buy an older, male turtle for company.'

They continued that Robbie and Ayda have already decided to name their new pet Scholes. With Ayda allegedly adding that her wish is to see Rooney 'smile again'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
