Prince Albert of Monaco celebrated his 61st birthday with his two young children, wife Princess Charlene and a decadent chocolate dessert.
Adorable photographs shared on Instagram Thursday by Princess Charlene show the reigning monarch flanked by the couple's four-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella.
The celebratory crews' faces were illuminated by a pair of sparklers sitting atop an elaborate chocolate cake creation.

Princess Gabriella appeared particularly enthralled by the sparklers atop the birthday cake
Gabriella marveled at the cake toppers in awe as they shot sparks into the air.
Jacques appeared less enthused by the light show, instead focusing his attention on the cake that was to come.
Prince Albert, dressed in a blue striped button-down and gray blazer, gazed adoringly at the youngsters before blowing out his candles.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene's children, Princess Gabriella Therese Marie and Prince Jacques Honore Rainier, are both in line for Monaco's throne. The family is pictured last August
Prince Albert, the son of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, formerly the actress Grace Kelly, and Charlene Wittstock, a former Olympic swimmer and school teacher from South Africa, have been married since 2011.
Their children, Princess Gabriella Therese Marie and Prince Jacques Honore Rainier, are both in line for Monaco's throne.
He has two older children who were born out of wedlock and thus are not eligible for the throne.
His son with Nicole Coste, Eric Alexandre Stephane, was born in 1992, and daughter with Tamara Rotolo, Jazmin Grace Rotolo, was born in 2005.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
