Democratic presidential contender Amy Klobuchar mocked her reputation for being a demanding boss and bragged women can 'tell a dirty joke' at the annual Gridiron dinner in Washington D.C. on Saturday night.
She promised the crowd of administration officials, military leaders, and prominent journalists that 'my speech will be shorter than a Robert Kraft visit to the Orchids day spa.'
As the crowd roared in response, she quipped: 'A woman can tell a dirty joke.'

Kraft, a friend of President Donald Trump's and the owner of the New England Patriots, has been charged in Florida with two counts of soliciting prostitution via visits to a day spa.
Klobuchar also poked fun at her reputation for being a tough task master, specifically referencing a New York Times story that claimed she criticized a staffer for bringing her a salad without a fork and then proceeded to eat it with a comb.
'How did everyone like the salad?,' she asked. 'I thought it was OK, but it needed just a bit of scalp oil and a pinch of dandruff, would be a little better.'
Klobuchar, one of many in the crowded field fighting to win the Democratic presidential nomination, joked about her announcement speech taking place in a Minnesota snow storm.
'Yes, I am the first candidate whose motorcade was led by a zamboni,' she said.
She also argued she has an advantage that her competition lacked.
'The Russians won't try to meet with me because Minneapolis is even too cold for them,' she said to great applause.
But she expressed confidence that she would prevail and win the right to take on Trump in 2020.
'In the end, how can I lose? My campaign will combine the short peppy speeches of Joe Biden, the common touch of Mike Bloomberg, the collegiality of Ted Cruz, and the chipper upbeat personality of Bernie Sanders,' she said.
'I will win this election because I'm a woman and all the powerful people in the room told me it's a sure thing. What could possibly go wrong?,' she added.
'All I know is if the election ends up before the Supreme Court. I'm gonna count Brett Kavanaugh as a no,' she concluded.
Klobuchar gained national attention during Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearing when her questioning of him lead to a snappish response on his part, for which he later apologized.
The senator from Minnesota was the Democratic speaker Saturday night at the 134th annual Gridiron and Foundation dinner.
The event features 700 journalists, politicians and members of Washington D.C.'s elite. The white-tie dinner takes place at the Renaissance Washington Hotel, with skits, songs and self-deprecation on the menu.
Speeches are expected to be full of wit and mockery with a side of repartee. Bipartisanship is on the menu and cameras are not allowed inside.
Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana gave the Republican response and opened with: 'I am as nervous as a pregnant nun.'
He had the crowd in stitches with his quips, biting political wit and Southern drawl.
'They call me folksy. I think that means they're surprised I have a college degree,' he said of his cable news appearances.
And he offered the audience some advice: 'Always be yourself, unless you suck.'
Kennedy even offered some good news on the Russian investigation front: 'Not one person in the Trump administration has been found to be secretly working for the United States,' he said.
He also recalled the pain his state felt when the New Orleans Saints lost in the NFL playoffs after a controversial call.

The event was held at the Renaissance Washington Hotel. Menu options ranged from crab salad for a first course to filet of beef for an entree option. Dessert options included a chocolate pyramid and a lemon yogurt cake with raspberries
'Crime's so bad we had a Super Bowl stolen from us,' he said.
He then complained about the low-scoring Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.
'If I had wanted to watch guys failing to score for four hours, I'd have taken Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders to a singles bar,' he said of his fellow senators.
President Trump skipped this year's dinner after he attended last year.
But his daughter and senior adviser, Ivanka Trump, spoke in his stead.
'No, this isn't a joke,' she told the crowd.
'In all seriousness, my father asked me to share his warm regards and best wishes to all in attendance, and regrets that he himself cannot join us on this wonderful evening. The opportunity to poke fun at the media is not something that he passes up lightly. That said, in some ways every day to my father is a Gridiron dinner,' she said.
Also in attendance was White House senior adviser Jared Kushner; presidential press secretary Sarah Sanders; Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway; acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney; Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin; Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson; Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen; Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Amazon founder and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos; Sen. Ted Cruz; Sen. Jerry Moran; and Sen. Pat Roberts.
The annual dinner traces its history to 1885.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
