Police in New York are investigating a fresh murder mystery after human bones, a torso, and possible lung and heart tissue were found in the backyard of an old, two-story house in Queens.
Forensics team members have spent the week digging up the backyard of a home in the Richmond Hill neighborhood after an anonymous woman called police Monday night and said she knew about a murder that happened in the late 1970s, including where the body had been buried.
'She recalls now that a little over 40 years ago she was present at this house and gave us information regarding the presence of a body that was buried in plastic bags in the backyard,' NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea told reporters last week.
Police haven't yet confirmed the identity of the victim, but they believe it was a man between the ages of 30 and 35.

Police who followed up on the tip found human remains in the backyard of a two-story home in the Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens, New York

They found the skeletal remains of what's believed to be a man in his 30s

The remains were so old, investigators turned them over to anthropologists to help figure out who they belong to
NBC New York reports the remains were so old, they were turned over to anthropologists who are helping with the investigation.
Detectives are scouring through decades-old homicide and missing person reports to find a possible connection. Neighbors expressed shock when they heard what was taking place in one of their own back yards.
'I walk around here all the time and it's usually a calm neighborhood,' Jacob Davidson told NBC New York.
Police are also searching the national missing person's database, hoping the DNA from the skeletal remains will match someone in the registry, Fox News reports.
The New York Times reported that the woman was a child at the time living in the house.
It is not clear why the anonymous woman waited so long to reveal her dark secret to authorities.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
