The Sun report that Louis was scheduled to perform his latest single Two Of Us as part of the BBC's Comic Relief live coverage on Friday but has since pulled out of the fundraiser.
The song is a tribute to the singer's late mother and includes the lyrics: 'You'll never know how much I miss you. The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead.'
Johannah died in 2016 at the age of 43 after a year-long battle with the leukemia.
Louis told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat that playing the song to his younger sisters Felicite, Charlotte, Daisy and Phoebe was a 'tough one'.

'Me as their big brother - if I can sing those words it'll hopefully help them too,' he explained, while also admitting he will be 'drifting off thinking of mum' while performing the song.
Louis previously discussed the song to House Of Solo magazine, admitting he avoided writing it for a while for fear of not getting it right.
He said: 'I just feel like, musically, I almost needed to get this song off my chest.
'People say writing is a part of therapy. In a way, I feel like I’d been avoiding writing this song because I knew I only had one chance to get it right.
'I don’t mean to be too soppy but if Two of Us can help just one other person who’s going through the tough time I went through, that would make me really happy.'
Louis has been left 'devastated and distraught' by the death of his sister, the Sun reported on Thursday, and praised his sister as 'loveable, caring, bright and beautiful' last night, sources close to the One Direction singer told the paper.
It is understood police found no signs of drugs at the address. They say they are in the process of informing next of kin.
The death of Félicité — known as Fizzy — is being treated as 'unexplained' at this stage.

A family source told the paper: 'Félicité was an absolutely adored young woman who was loved by Louis and her whole family. They are all totally devastated, as you can imagine.
'She had so many friends and was such a positive happy person. It's a massive loss to the world. She was a loveable, caring, bright, passionate, popular and beautiful young lady.'
Louis appeared on The X Factor three days after his mother's death in 2016 for an emotional performance of his track Just Hold On with Steve Aoki.
He was supported by his One Direction bandmates for his first solo performance away from the band, while X Factor head judge Simon Cowell, who put the group together during their time on the show, told him:
'The bravery of what you've done. I respect you as an artist, as a person and your mum was so proud of you and she was so excited for the performance. She's looking down on you tonight.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
