The parents of one of R. Kelly's girlfriends made an emotional plea for her to come home to them on Friday and said they still love her despite her accusing them of lying for money.
Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage sat down with Gayle King on Thursday to react to their daughter Joycelyn's claims.
Joycelyn, 23, has been living with Kelly, 52, for the last two years and has been cut off from her family.
As Kelly tried to clear his name in a hysterical interview with King this week, Joycelyn and the singer's other live-in girlfriend, Azriel Clary, spoke out in his defense.
They publicly accused their parents of lying and insisted neither one of them was brainwashed. Joycelyn called her parents hours after sitting down for the cameras to insist that she was OK but their conversation ended abruptly with her saying she 'had to go'.
On Friday, her parents said they believed the call was scripted and that someone was watching her.
'I call them prison calls. I can tell someone is listening to the calls,' Jonjelyn, the woman's mother, said.

'She called with a script,' she added.
A video of the phone call emerged which showed Joycelyn pausing when her younger sister Jordan suddenly interjected by saying: 'Joycelyn, I love you.'
Soon after, she hung up, telling her family: 'I have to go.'
Her family believes that her younger sibling being there and speaking to her caught her off guard and made her stray from her script.
'She paused for like 10 seconds,' her mother said.
'They have a connection with the younger kids. For that second, that was Joycelyn,' her father Timothy added.
They say they now regret ever allowing her daughter to spend time with Kelly when they met in 2015.
Joycelyn was 19 at the time and the first time she met him was at a concert.

Timothy said he had never met R.Kelly and has spoken only once to him on the phone. He said he hopes he 'rots in jail' for the damage he has done to his daughter
Her mother said that she regrets not being more cautious about him given his previous arrest and acquittal for child pornography charges, but said they were trying to support their daughter's dream of becoming a singer.
Both Joycelyn and Azriel claimed on Thursday that neither wanted to be a singer despite sharing videos of themselves singing on YouTube for years.
Joycelyn's father also dismissed R. Kelly's claim that he 'handed' her to him by taking her to a concert and asking that she go on stage.
He also slammed the 52-year-old for complaining about not being able to see his own children when Kelly is keeping Joycelyn from him.
' Never in my entire life, met Mr. Kelly, I have only talked to him one time on the phone. He told me, "You're going to have to wait to see your daughter. Trust the process.'
'How can you tell another father to trust the process and you're ranting and raving on TV that you want to see your kids?' he said.
Joycelyn and Azriel claim they never wanted to become singers but they are shown in videos and pictures in recording studios. Joycelyn is pictured. Her parents say they only ever allowed her to be in contact with Kelly because they thought he could help her with a music career
Timothy added that his daughter has been 'brainwashed' but that they would always take her back despite her accusations against them.
'A father's love for his daughter will never change. A man loving his daughter can change,' he said, the latter part in reference to Kelly.
'But a father's love will never change for his daughter' he added.
When asked what he felt about his daughter's 52-year-old boyfriend, he paused.
'Really?' he asked King, before saying solemnly: 'He needs to rot in jail. I am sorry, that's just the way I feel. He needs help but this man has done so many women wrong that he needs to rot in that jail cell. Period.'
Dominique Gardner, who spent nine years living with Kelly before her mother Michelle tracked her down to a hotel in L.A. last year and brought her home, told CBS that Kelly would have her rehearse what she was going to say on the phone to her family.
She used to live with Joycelyn and Azriel and said she misses them but hopes they too can escape.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
