«Breaking News» Grant Denyer is excited to return to Ten's prime-time with ANOTHER game show

Game show Family Feud, hosted by Logie winner Grant Denyer, was axed by Channel Ten in 2018.

And after Family Feud's replacement game show, Pointless, drew dismal ratings, Grant is set to return to the prime-time weeknight slot with another game show.

According to News.com.au, Grant will front a local version of US program Celebrity Name Game.

The US show was originally created by former Friends actress Courteney Cox, 54, and actor David Arquette, 47.

Grant told News: 'This show is wonderfully ludicrous and just good, silly fun.'

'At the end of a hard day, sometimes you just want to put your brain in neutral, have a bit of a laugh and scream at the telly - and this is the perfect show for that,' he added.

The game show will see two teams of two contestants, with the help of a guest celebrity, attempt to guess the names of movies, singers and other characters by giving strategic descriptions.

Courtney Act, Beau Ryan and Gogglebox's Yvie Jones and Angie Kent have reportedly expressed interest in appearing on the show.

Pointless was slammed by viewers as the 'worst show ever' after making its Australian debut in July, and continued to drop in the ratings in the months that it aired.  

Will Game Of Games return? It's unclear if Grant will continue to host the game show made famous on Ellen DeGeneres' American program

After Grant's Family Feud was axed, he scored the coveted Gold Logie and began hosting Channel Ten's reboot of Dancing With The Stars. 

He is also the co-host of Sydney's 2Day FM breakfast show: Grant, Ed & Ash.  

Last year Grant also hosted Game Of Games, based on Ellen DeGeneres' American program of the same name, on the network. It's unclear if Game Of Games will also be replaced by Celebrity Name Game. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Ten for comment.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
