«Breaking News» Trump target Jim Acosta of CNN gets a book deal with a multimillion dollar reward in the cards

President Donald Trump has called CNN's Jim Acosta 'fake news' and Kellyanne Conway has termed him a 'smart ass' – but now that he has inked a major book deal they will be able to call him rich.

The network's White House correspondent, who has experienced a series of high-profile televised confrontations with the president, is writing a book for HarperCollins.

The book incorporates the president's attack on Acosta and disfavored members of the media in its title: 'The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America.'

It promises 'never-before-revealed stories of this White House's rejection of truth, while laying out the stakes for how Trump's hostility toward facts poses an unprecedented threat to our democracy' from Acosta, according to the publisher.

The correspondent has achieved a national profile through his televised jousting with the Trump White House.

'Simply put, I am writing this book to share what I've experienced covering President Trump during his first two years in office,' Acosta said in a statement Thursday.

'This sobering, bewildering and sometimes frightening experience has made it absolutely clear that this is a dangerous time to tell the truth in America. The president and his team, not to mention some of his supporters, have attempted to silence the press in ways we have never seen before.'

'As just about everybody has seen, I have witnessed this firsthand.'

Although he didn't spell out the 'dangerous' part of the job, Acosta has experienced taunts and chants while covering Trump rallies.

Although his payday wasn't revealed, Acosta was represented by lawyer Robert Barnett, who helped negotiate book deals for President Obama and others.

The book is to be published in June.

President Trump scolded Acosta when he questioned the president about immigration after the mid-term elections.

'CNN should be ashamed of itself having you work for them. You are a rude terrible person. You shouldn't be working for CNN,' the president told him during a televised press conference in the East Room of the White House.

'When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people,' Trump said.

Acosta was subsequently banned from the White House after his credentials were yanked, although the White House later backed down after a federal district court in Washington ruled against it.

During the confrontation, Acosta not only questioned the president, but pushed back at him for calling a caravan of immigrants an 'invasion.'

'As you know Mr. President, it's not an invasion. It's a group of migrants moving toward the border,' he told the president.

'Acosta, a veteran of reporting on four administrations, presents a damning vision of bureaucratic dysfunction, deception and danger,' HarperCollins said, 'offering a fly on the wall view of the White House communications during one of the most dramatic and contentious, but consequential, times in the country's history.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
