«Breaking News» Elton John reveals his two sons are 'grounded' despite Lady Gaga being their 'Gagamother'

He's father to sons Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, eight, and six-year-old Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John with his husband David Furnish.

And Elton John revealed he believes his two are 'quite grounded' despite having a very famous godmother in the form of pop sensation Lady Gaga. 

Speaking to The Mirror the Candle In The Wind singer, 71, revealed how his two children help him leave his stage persona away from the home and keep his feet firmly on the ground.

Elton admitted that Zachary and Elijah have seen him on tour and know that he's famous but often question why people approach him for autographs.

He added: 'We always say, "Because people like my music". We don't say because I'm famous, or anything like that. I try to leave Elton on the stage.

'And they love their daddy's music but they also like a lot of other people's music, so they're quite grounded.'

The hitmaker also revealed his family's joy at seeing Lady Gaga pick up an Oscar award last month for A Star Is Born's Best Original Song:

 'They call her Gagamother. We are very excited and proud of her. She was brilliant in the film'.

Elton added that for him there was no question of anyone other than Lady Gaga taking home the gong.

The British star is currently in the midst of his three-year farewell tour consisting of 300 shows worldwide.

And he revealed that while he's having fun on the tour, his 'situation has changed personally'.

He elaborated that he feels the need to spend more time with his family and despite living a luxurious life he finds the comfort 'boring'.

Elton started dating husband David, 56, in 1993 with the pair entering into a civil partnership in 2005.

They later married in 2014, on the ninth anniversary of their civil partnership.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
