Coronation Street favourite Gemma Winter's life will be hanging in the balance, as she trapped under the rubble after the Underworld roof collapses.
In explosive scenes set to air next week, the comedic character will be knocked unconscious after the factory roof caves in, leaving fans fearing whether she is the much-loved character set to air in the disaster.
The collapse will come after weeks of tension surrounding Underworld owner Carla Connor and others in Weatherfield, with actress Alison King teasing she will go into 'meltdown' after the tragedy.

In tense scenes, Underworld's staff will stage a protest after it is revealed the company is being outsourced, putting all of their jobs at risk.
First look snaps of the episodes also reveal sisters Sally and Gina will join forces to save their jobs, as they take to the roof to make a statement.
Of course this sparks questions over whether they could perish when the roof collapses from underneath them, while their colleagues watch on in horror.

Not her! Carla will discover the disaster after rushing to catch ex Peter, convincing him not to leave the Street without her
However there are several other characters that seen precariously close to the wreckage, including Gemma's boyfriend Chesney, Sally's husband Tim, Kirk Sutherland and Gemma's brother Paul.
The dramatic episode will see Carla take centre stage, as she desperately tries to stop former flame Peter Barlow from leaving Weatherfield without her.
After declaring her love for him, Carla is left reeling when she returns to find Underworld completely collapsed, and survivors being pulled from the wreckage.
Numerous suspects have emerged in recent weeks that could be responsible for the tragedy, including Carla's other ex Nick, who has said he would be happy if the place burned down, so he could cash in on the insurance payment.
Will they survive? While spoilers have hinted that a major character will die following the disaster, it remains to be seen who will bite the dust

Dark: Kirk Sutherland is also seen inside the factory looking among the rubble, leaving many fans fearing whether his wife Beth will be the victim

Scary: After protesting on the roof with her sister, Sally will be plunged into the rubble after the floor crumbles from below her
While both men could be to blame for the tragedy, other fans have theorised Seb could be the culprit, out for revenge against Gary who sacked him from his building job.
Some have also guessed it could be Gary taking over the soap's villain role, as on-set snaps have shown him delving into work as a loan shark.
Fans will discover the culprit of the collapse in a special episode which will see Carla suffer a mental breakdown, after the pressure of being Weatherfield's Public Enemy Number One becomes too much to bear.

Losing it: Actress Alison King recently teased that Carla Connor will go into a meltdown after the disaster, as she will suffer a nervous breakdown after struggling to cope
Alison explained: 'It’s just too much, she sees what has happened and goes into meltdown. It is the final thing for her, the straw that finally breaks the camel’s back after everything she has gone through.
'More people are going to suffer and she believes it is because of her actions, everything has come tumbling down again and the worst thing ever has happened. She totally believes she is responsible for the accident because she didn’t get the roof fixed.'
Speaking about Carla's impending breakdown, Alison added: 'It is the breaking point, and she has a complete breakdown, it is cumulative of all the life trauma that has happened to her.
'She is that strong person who has carried on for too long and not asked for help or dealt with anything properly; her upbringing, finding her father, the rape, losing the baby, the disastrous relationships, the death of Aidan. She is at snapping point.'
Coronation Street airs the factory collapse from Monday 18th March at 7:30pm on ITV.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
