«Breaking News» Clever mothers share the ingenious places they hide snacks and lollies from their kids

Having children with a sweet tooth in the house makes it difficult for parents to keep their own lolly stash a secret. 

But for a group of Australian mothers there are a few creative places you can keep chocolate and treats away from prying eyes. 

Posting in a Facebook group, they shared photos of the tricks that have worked for them.

'For a year now this unassuming storage container with a pasta packaging sleeve has been sitting in my fridge hiding a very naughty stash of chocolate,' one person wrote with a photo.

Little does the rest of her family know how many goodies are hiding behind the packaging. 

The post initiated a conversation that saw other group members share their nifty ideas and tricks.

One poster revealed that she hides the treats that she doesn't want anyone else to eat inside her packet of pads as she knows that no one will ever think to look there.

'Lived with hubby for six years before he knew where the Tim Tams were,' one group member said.

One clever mother revealed that she hides her treats in the crisper underneath a lettuce leaf and is yet to be caught out.

She wasn't the only one to make use of the crisper as someone else shared that they simply put paper towels on the bottom of the crisper and hide their chocolate under that.

'I used to hide chocolate in the tea towel drawer. Nobody ever looked there because they never dried up for me,' another said.

'The other spot was sitting on the bookshelf between books, they never spotted that either.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
