He revealed last year that he would be stepping down from all his TV commitments following a difficult few months.
And now Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been reunited as they appeared in the new Britain's Got Talent 2019 trailer, with the show set to air in April.
The 60-second advert sees the Geordie presenter, 43, make his big TV return as he stars as a conductor alongside his sidekick, 43.

In the trailer, it stars with Dec leading an orchestra of contestants using various props as instruments as they play Land Of Hope And Glory.
The comedy star then drops his baton with Ant appearing and picking it up for him, as they continue to direct the orchestra together.
It then features judge Amanda Holden, who looks sensational in a plunging figure-hugging black dress with ruffled sleeves, as she helps saw a contestant in half with a magician.
Also joining the orchestra from the judging panel are Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, with David wearing a head-to-toe white tuxedo and top hat as he plays the symbol, with Alesha quickly hitting a red buzzer.

Britain's Got Talent is just the start of Ant's comeback after he stepped down from all his TV commitments for a year after a difficult few months.
In November, Holly Willougby filled in for Ant on I'm A Celebrity as she starred alongside Dec in the jungle.
The This Morning host, 37, confirmed last month that the troubled presenter will most definitely be back on the Australian-based reality series in 2019, despite rumours suggesting she was set to return again in his place.

Sparkle like Alesha in a dress by Attico
Britain's Got Talent is coming back and while we're sure there'll be loads of great acts to support we're more excited about the usual fashion face off between judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
These two never disappoint with their looks and even in this promo for the new series they've both totally nailed it, giving us an idea of the killer outfits to come. Both beauties went for mini dresses with Amanda rocking David Koma while Alesha opted for Attico.
We love both dresses but we've got to admit that, like magpies, we're always attracted to something sparkly so we're really obsessing over Alesha's sequinned wrap style. And if you need a new party frock then why not steal her style?

At the Dancing On Ice launch, Holly said: 'It was a one-off, once in a lifetime adventure.
'Next year, I’ll be at home with everyone else having a glass of wine watching it.'
Ant's personal issues - which saw him develop a painkiller addiction, end his marriage and commit a drink-driving offence - saw him sit out the last few episodes of BGT 2018, as well as Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, last spring.

He has taken the rest of the year off, skipping I'm A Celeb - but is now gearing up to get back to work.
It had been reported that ITV bosses wanted Holly - who has just returned from her month in Australia, filling absent Ant's shoes - to host I'm A Celeb with both Ant and Dec next year after the show received its highest ever viewing figures, with a whopping 12.6 million tuning in to watch the star's first week.
At the ITV show's after-party last month, Dec said of Holly: 'There is nobody I would have preferred to stood next to.
'We were thrilled with the ratings, they are absolutely great. Holly has been fantastic too, just brilliant. She was the one I wanted and I am thrilled she did it.'

The 60-second ad...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
