«Breaking News» Mom warns parents after 'hard,' lifeless body of her baby was returned to her by the babysitter

A mother has relived the moment her babysitter attempted to hide the fact that her son was dead.

Heather Gardner of Wausau, Wisconsin, retrieved the lifeless form of her two-month-old son, Benson Xiong, from her babysitter, Marissa Tietsort, 28, in October, and opened up about her regrets leaving him in such terrible care to WAOW news.

Tietsort was said to have caused Benson's death, put him in his snowsuit and car seat before letting his mother pick him up without telling her the child was dead, according to a criminal complaint filed on January 4.

Gardner, a working mother-of-two at the time, needed childcare assistance after her children's grandmother moved to California.

'She's from the town that I'm originally from,' Gardner said of her hiring of Tietsort, who was referred to her through a co-worker. It was only weeks after leaving her children in Tietsort's care, she began to be suspicious.

'I noticed that maybe he had a scratch or something in his mouth and I took him to the ER that Saturday,' Gardner told the news station. 'And I told the doctors, 'I don't know if he's being abused by the babysitter.''

However, Gardner says the doctors told her not to worry, and Gardner ended up using Tietsort again to babysit Benson.

'You as a parent know your child the most so if you think that something is wrong, no one is going to know better than you,' said the grieving mother.

'When we got to the laundromat, I started unpacking Benson and I was like why are his lips like, they were like stuck together, so I was like ,'Oh my God' and I unzipped his snowsuit and took him out and he's like hard,'' Gardner said.

'She is a monster,' Gardner said of Tietsort.

The currently pregnant Tietsort is the mother of five other children and also faces a felony child abuse charge involving an 11-month-old girl, named Riley, formerly in her care who was injured in August.

'I had used Marissa for two weeks as a babysitter, and I never once thought to ... look her up because she was a friend of a friend,' Riley's mother Megan Royce said. 'She had a baby as well so I figured it was safe.'

'I'm not a threat to society or a monster,' Tietsort wrote to the judge before her bail hearing. 'I'm a great mom and I love everybody.'

Tietsort had been running an unlicensed day care operation out of her home in Wausau, and it had been reported that at least two other children in her care had been taken to the hospital with brain bleeds.

According to the criminal complaint filed in the death of Benson, his mother dropped him and his older brother off at Tietsort's home on October 18.

About two hours later, the baby's mother received a text from Tietsort, in which Tietsort told her that a local news website published a story saying she'd been charged with child abuse and she isn't supposed to have contact with children.

Tietsort told the mother not to tell anyone she was watching her two sons.

Heather Gardner and Benson Xiong were found just minutes after she had picked the boy up from Tietsort's home, authorities said, at a laundromat on North Third Avenue, between West Wausau and West Union avenues, where she was trying to revive her child. The boy had actually died hours earlier

When Gardner came to pick up her sons later, Benson was in his car seat with a hat pulled down over his eyes. Gardner told police she thought he was sleeping, the complaint said.

The Benson's mother later realized her son was not breathing, cold and stiff. Officers arrived to find the boy had 'ashen skin tone, his jaw was clenched and his lips were blue.'

Authorities found Gardner at a Wausau laundromat trying to revive Benson, but he had died hours earlier of blunt force head injuries from multiple impacts to the head.

Tietsort told police she didn't kill Benson, but knew he was dead, the complaint said. When her boyfriend got home that evening, they went to McDonald's and she brought the dead baby with them.

After she gave Benson back to his mother, Tietsort, her boyfriend and their son went swimming at a local hotel, according to the complaint.

Tietsort has been in custody on a $250,000 cash bond since since October related to the August incident and is due back in court this month.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
