The Duchess of Cambridge donned a favourite Alexander McQueen dress as she stepped out for her mother's birthday party last night.
Kate, 37, arrived without husband William, 36, for the soiree, which was hosted by sister Pippa and brother-in-law James Matthews at their home in Chelsea, London.
In a typically resourceful fashion, the royal plumped for a £2,075 Alexander McQueen dress that she previously wore to a garden party in Berlin in 2017.

Make like Kate in a bardot dress by Alexander McQueen
Even when she's not on official royal duties, the Duchess of Cambridge always looks perfectly put together. And of course we know what a pro she is when it comes to investing in classic pieces and wearing them more than once!
Case in point: this dreamy red dress by Alexander McQueen. It's the off-shoulder design she debuted at a garden party in Berlin back in 2017, and she's even styled it with the same Simone Rocha drop earrings this time.
We love the bardot shape and tiered design of this dress, which give it something of a boho feel. The floaty maxi skirt is a departure from Kate's usual midis, and it would look so elegant with swept-up hair to make the most of the neckline.
Unfortunately it has now sold out, but click (right) to take a closer look and to shop the current McQueen collection at NET-A-PORTER.
Or copy Kate with the help of our edit below, where you'll also find her relatively budget-friendly earrings.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
