«Breaking News» Husband of Dr. Pimple Popper discusses their marriage

Dr. Pimple Popper has become famous for popping other people's zits, cysts, and blackheads — but her own husband says she's never popped anything on his skin.

Since her YouTube channel exploded, California-based Dr. Sandra Lee, 40, has brought her success to TV with the launch of her TLC show, where she performs disgusting but oddly satisfying surgeries on people with various skin conditions. But fans of her viral videos might be surprised to know that her husband is actually a dermatologist too.

Dr. Jeffrey Rebish, who met Dr. Lee when the two were in medical school together, recently spoke to Refinery29 about their marriage, his wife's viral fame, and his thoughts on her 'theatrical' career.

Interestingly, Sandra doesn't actually pop Jeffrey's zits — a fact that may come as shocking to wives and girlfriends who like to pop their husbands' and boyfriends' blemishes.

Jeffrey said that's in part because it's just a job for Sandra, and she likes to keep the popping away from their home life.

'Sandra will tell you she's not a popaholic,' he said. 'I mean, she's never popped anything on my skin, which might be a little disappointing to her fans — because a husband-wife surgery would certainly make for good TV.'

They've certainly been together long enough to have given her a chance, having met before they were doctors.

'We were both at medical school in Philadelphia to become dermatologists,' Jeffrey revealed. 'Sandra walked into the room on orientation day, and I knew right away that she was the one.'

The couple dated throughout school before graduating and moving to California — where Sandra grew up — to take over her father's dermatology practice.

Most fans might not realize it, but Jeffrey has been working in the office with Sandra the entire time she has been filming both her YouTube and TLC show.

The couple also has two sons together.

'On the day-to-day, we're both dermatologists, but we have very different roles in the office,' he explained to the publication.

'I'm definitely not a "pimple popper." I'm the business guy, more behind-the scenes. I handle the administrative side of the practice, while also seeing my own patients.'

He went onto explain how Sandra will typically take the cosmetic surgeries at their practice — from Botox to eye lifts — while also handling the more obscene skin ailments that are filmed.

'It's not what I like to do, but those more theatrical surgeries have always been her speciality,' Jeffrey said.

Sandra's side hustle, in which she went under the alias of Dr. Pimple Popper, started on YouTube. But the dermatologist actually waited a few years to inform her husband about the videos, until she gained a larger following.

'Once YouTube was paying her and the videos were actually bringing in money, she filled me in,' he said. 'I didn't know what to make of it, because at that point, the Dr. Pimple Popper following was there, but still modest — probably about 5,000 subscribers, or so.

'Then, the craziest thing happened: Some media outlet found her page and reposted one of her videos. After the news was out there, it was wildfire.'

The launch of the YouTube channel and TLC show has turned Dr. Pimple Popper into a brand, so how the couple divides up their workload has changed.

'I pick up slack where she might've been more of a presence if it weren't for the show,' he said. 'Sometimes that's taking care of the boys, or handling her contracts.

'Ultimately, I'll always be involved any way Sandra needs me to be, because we're a team.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
