Holly Willoughby’s denim edit for M&S might be her most popular Must-Haves collection yet.
It was a clever choice: denim is one of spring’s biggest trends and a fabric we feel comfortable in.
The pieces she’s picked are mostly very wearable — jeans for £19.50, a Western-style shirt at £32.50, a soft chambray blouse with pie-crust collar for £32.50, a midi-shirt dress, a rather short mini-dress (both £49.50) and, yes, that £55 boilersuit.
Holly Willoughby (pictured) has unveiled a selection of denim items in her new collection at M&S, FEMAIL asked readers to give their verdict on Holly's navy boilersuit
In a navy cotton chambray with just the right amount of utility styling, it’s been tipped as the stand-out buy, but others fear it has an unflattering fit.
So, should you splurge on one? women, all with different body shapes and styles, give their verdicts.
It’s super comfy and makes me feel cool
Anabel Cutler, 50, reflexologist from London, size 10
Anabel Cutler, 50, (pictured) from London who wears a UK size 10 says the navy boilersuit is comfortable and can be easily dressed up
Yes, I think I would wear this because it’s super comfy and I can easily dress it up with heels and fabulous jewellery, or down with my favourite cowboy boots.
I would never have guessed it was from M&S! It’s the first thing I’ve ever put on from M&S that makes me feel cool.
Great fit and fabric — and I love the pockets
Hannah Janes, 25, make-up artist from Winchester, size 16
Hannah Janes, 25, (pictured) from Winchester who wears a size 16 describes the jumpsuit as good quality and durable
I usually have a problem with jumpsuits as my torso is so long but, surprisingly, this is a great fit.
It’s made from a good quality thick cotton, so feels durable.
The best bit is that it has pockets! Women’s clothes often don’t come with pockets, so this is a treat. I’d certainly wear this to work — it’s cool.
Hanger horror, my husband will hate it
Claire Cisotti, 52, picture editor from Wimbledon, London, size 14
Claire Cisotti, 52, (pictured) from Wimbledon who wears size 14 claims the boilersuit looks better on than on the hanger
My husband is going to hate this — he says I dress like a dustbin man at the best of times — but I think it’s great! Ok, so it’s not glamorous, but it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve worn in a very long time. I looked at this in horror when it was on the hanger, but I’m a convert.
Mamma Mia! Only Meryl can pull this off
Carolina Mountford, 46, full-time mum from Wandsworth, size 12
Carolina Mountford, 46, (pictured) from Wandsworth who wears size 12 says she would feel self-conscious wearing the jumpsuit around London
I’ve never worn anything like this before — I look like Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia! But I would feel too self-conscious to wear it around London.
Plus, the fabric is thick and a bit stiff; if it was softer it would be more comfortable.
A bit stiff, but a fab Seventies throwback
Pirjo Hickman, 60, model originally from Sweden, living in Battersea, size 10
Pirjo Hickman, 60, from Battersea who wears a UK size 10 was amazed by the boilersuit and says the style reminds her of the Seventies
I think it’s absolutely amazing, I’m going to buy it! I love the colour, I love the fit and I love the zip pockets on the chest.
It’s a little bit stiff, but after one wash I’m sure it will loosen up.
It takes me back to the Seventies — I had a boilersuit in every colour back then!
Where on earth would I wear this?
Geraldine Dale, 57, full-time mum from Ascot, size 8
Geraldine Dale, 57, (pictured) from Ascot who wears a size 8 says she's not entirely convinced about the design
At first, it felt quite thick and stiff, but after moving around a bit and getting used to it, I felt more comfortable.
It’s not my usual style, but with the addition of a belt it felt more like me.
I can’t imagine where or when I’d wear it though. I’m certainly not convinced.
I can see myself wearing this all the time
Abby Garrett, 19, psychology student originally from Kentucky, USA – size 8
Abby Garrett, 19, (pictured) from Kentucky, USA who wears a size 8 says she loves the one-piece design and could see herself wearing it all the time
‘I love it and can see myself wearing this all the time.
It’s so easy to throw on, it’s a one-piece so I don’t have to think about the rest of the outfit.
I like standout accessories so a bright scarf and some colourful loafers and I’m ready to go!’
It’s a little drab
Christina Dencker-Nielsen, 42, Ship Broker originally from Denmark living in South London – size 14
Christina Dencker-Nielsen, 42, (pictured) from South London who wears a UK size 14 says she would tailor the legs of the boilersuit to be less wide
‘I would wear this and I would never wear a jumpsuit normally but this is a nice quality cotton.
I’ve added the roll neck underneath for a bit of colour otherwise I fear it’s a little drab.
I would probably wear this to go out for lunch with friends but I might tailor it slightly as I don’t like is the legs, they’re too wide.’
...AND THE VERDICT ON THE REST
Our model Claire Cisotti, 52, gives her verdict on the rest of Holly’s collection . . .
Claire Cisotti, 52, says Holly's (pictured) ruffle blouse is a classic design that won't date and possibly the nicest thing she's ever worn
Claire says Holly's shirt dress (pictured right) is unflattering and uncomfortable, and the mini shirt dress (pictured left) is too tight on the chest
Claire says at age 52, Holly's mini skirt (pictured) would be chancing with something too short, however it would be great for her teenage daughter
- Ruffle blouse (on Holly above, £32.50): Possibly the nicest thing I’ve ever worn. The fabric — where M&S often gets it wrong — is soft but not clingy. A classic design that won’t date.
- Western shirt (£32.50): Too short and it gapes across my chest. It’s a shame because I love the press studs and the puffed sleeve.
- Shirt dress (£49.50): I really want to love this — Holly looks fabulous in it — but it’s too tight across my chest and hangs off me everywhere else. Unflattering and uncomfortable.
- T-shirt (£12.50): Not one for me, but a winner for teenagers who would wear the XL for the baggy look.
- Mini skirt (£25): At the age of 52 I feel I would be chancing my arm with something this short. It would be great on my teenage daughter though!
- Ivy skinny Jeans (£19.50): I’m excited because these are just the right shade of dark blue. But they are bizarrely tight on my calves and baggy around my waist. So disappointing.
- Mini shirt dress (£49.50): This thick, elasticated denim should streamline me, but it’s square, there is no waist to it and it’s too tight on my chest. Awful.
- Cowboy boots (cream leather, £55; brown suede, £49.50): Fantastic — great fit with a generous width for us women with bunions. An essential that will go with everything this season.
- Leather Star Trainers (£45): Another great buy — these could easily be mistaken for designer.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
