Longtime Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen will testify before three powerful committees before heading off to prison, his lawyer said Wednesday, after a panel chairman blasted Cohen's 'wild night' out despite citing health for rescheduling testimony.
After a series of dates and delayed appearances, Cohen will appear before the House Oversight Committee in addition to two other congressional panels behind closed doors before reporting to prison next month.
In addition to the public session of the oversight committee, the attorney, Lanny Davis, said Cohen would testify in closed hearings of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Intelligence Committee before entering prison on March 6.
Only the Oversight testimony will be in public however.
Longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen will testify before Congress before going to jail, his advisor lawyer Lanny Davis said. Cohen's closed testimony before the House Intelligence Committee had been postponed 'in the interests of the investigation,' said the panel chairman
Those two committees both are investigating Russian election interference and any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians.
The House intel panel is the one that Cohen admitted to lying to when he held back information about his negotiations for a proposed Trump tower project in Moscow. Cohen later acknowledged talks continued through the summer of 2016.
Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison for lying to Congress as well as a campaign finance violation related to arranging the $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, who claims she had an affair with Trump.
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr gave a long interview to CBS News on Thursday where he said: 'If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don't have anything that would suggest there was collusion'

'The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has accepted Mr. Cohen's request for postponement of tomorrow's hearing due to post-surgery medical needs,' Cohen's lawyer, Lanny Davis said, ABC reported. Cohen had been scheduled to appear Feb. 12th, but the event got postponed.
Last week, House Intelligence Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, said in a brief statement Thursday that 'in the interests of the investigation, Michael Cohen's testimony has been postponed until February 28th.'
That announcement followed reports that prosecutors in New York were zeroing in on the Trump inauguration spending. Cohen was involved in fundraising for the inauguration.
Cohen pulled out of his planned Oversight testimony last month, citing threats against his family.
Senate Intel chairman Richard Burr blasted Cohen Tuesday after Cohen's team announced a delay, citing medical reasons.
'I can assure you that any goodwill that might have existed in the committee with Michael Cohen is now gone,' Burr said.
Burr added, NBC reported: 'He's already stiffed us on being in Washington today because of an illness ... You have ... on Twitter, a reporter reported he was having a wild night Saturday night eating out in New York with five buddies. Didn't seem to have any physical limitations. And he was out with his wife last night.'
Cohen had recent surgery on his shoulder, and returned to his New York apartment with his arm in a sling. Davis said it was 'due to post-surgery medical needs.'

After a series of dates...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
