'And they found a package with something looking like cocaine.'

The alleged package was seized and has been sent for analysis, it was reported.

Penalties for possession of drugs in Russia can be harsh and run between a 15 day arrest and a large fine, to years in prison.

A Bolshoi spokeswoman said Moscow police had 'detained' the dancer but the troupe was 'not yet commenting on this situation' which was a matter for law enforcement.

Police had informed the British Embassy after he was held, said reports in Moscow.

He was held at Khamovniki police station in Moscow, according to reports.

The dancer has enjoyed sensational success in Russia after completing his training at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg in 2017.

The dancer from Britain has been seen as a rising star and was picked to perform at the Bolshoi

He was taught by legendary Bolshoi star Nikolay Tsiskaridze.

One account in melmoth.blog said: 'Oscar Frame found himself in a difficult, albeit enviable, position.

'The young Brit received job offers from both the Mariinsky and the Bolshoi – a happy predicament very few Vaganova graduates, let alone foreign trainees, ever find themselves facing.

'After some deliberation, Frame settled on the Bolshoi, becoming one of the few foreigners to ever join the company.'

He said: 'My dream role at the moment is Romeo because I'd really like to try and conquer it, and it feels as if it fits my abilities on stage.:

He was born in Southwark in 1997 and trained at the Hampton Ballet Academy in London before winning a scholarship to the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington.

He was twice rejected by the Royal Ballet Junior Associates, he said.

'My interest in ballet only really sparked when I started the Russian training,' he said.

'After that, nothing really got to me except the Vaganova classes.

'It was addictive.'

He said: 'I spoke no Russian before I left England.

'It was easy to pick up because I ended up being the only international student in my class.' Neither Frame nor his legal representative has commented.

Moscow police had issued no statement on the case.

It is understood British diplomats have been in touch with the Russian authorities.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
