A Boeing 747-400 is about to embark on a plane journey like no other - because it's by road.
On Tuesday the 150-ton plane will be wheeled from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol across 17 ditches, the A9 highway and a provincial road before reaching its final destination - the Corendon Village Hotel garden.
Once known as the 'City of Bangkok', the former KLM aircraft will be resting its wings after 30 years of reliable service. In preparation, the 747 was flown to Rome for a Corendon-coloured paint job before aircraft recycling company AELS stripped it of all serviceable parts.
Landing a new job: The former KLM aircraft (pictured in its new colours) has been completely re-branded in preparation for its final destination - the garden of Amsterdam's Corendon Village Hotel
Dutch specialized transport company Mammoet will use a self-propelled trailer to transport the plane over three nights - February 5th (from 11pm to 7am), 8th (from midnight to 4am) and 9th (midnight to 4am).
Its stops will include a pasture and a meadow directly opposite the Corendon Village Hotel.
The most exciting part of the Boeing's journey should be the final four-hour stretch as it will then become the first aircraft to cross highway A9 by land.
After reaching its final destination, the aircraft will be converted into a 'Corendon Boeing 747 Experience', which will open its doors mid-2019 (details are currently under wraps).

If you feel like braving the cold, Corendon's designated website is offering limited spaces for visitors to get up close and personal with the 747 as it is moved.
For those who can't make it, a three camera-ready live stream will also be available.
The Corendon Village Hotel opened last year in the former headquarters of Sony.
With over 680 rooms, suites and apartments it is the largest hotel in the Benelux (the politico-economic union of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg).
The connection from Schiphol Airport to the Corendon Village Hotel will be made over two night-time trips

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
