«Breaking News» Ben Affleck officially retires as Batman before Jimmy Kimmel mocks his love of Tom Brady

Ben Affleck has officially retired as Batman.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel's chatshow on Thursday night, the actor explaining he felt it was time to 'pass on the bat torch'.

This being Kimmel, there was quite the send-off, with the chatshow host deciding to 'officially retire' Affleck's bat cape, with his usual mocking take on the idea.

'Warner Bros. has given us something. We're going to officially retire your Bat-cape to the rafters,' he told Ben.

He then brought out a rather unusual version of the famous cape, which on the back said Batfleck in gold lettering, with No 12 beneath.

'That's Brady's number,' said Ben. 'You can't be a hero unless you wear number 12.'

Ben then joked that Warner Bros paid a fortune to digitally erase the number from every frame.

'I insisted to Warner Bros. that be on the whole time,' he said. 'They actually paid $80million to digitally remove it from every movie.'

Earlier Brady had shown just how deep his love of the New England Patriots runs, when the Boston-star said he went into a full 'existential crisis' when his son, Samuel, six, revealed he wanted to show support for his own hometown - Los Angeles.

The 46-year-old told Kimmel he turned his youngest kid's thoughts around by completely re-decorating his bedroom - something which he added ex-wife Jennifer Garner found 'creepy.'

'I had like a full existential crisis. I failed, I'm a bad father. This is a disaster,' he recalled feeling.

'Once my son started telling me, "I'm from LA," I know some guys, a lot of guys from Boston who do work in the trades to do a little work on my son's room to help him really understand where he comes from - if not literally then at least spiritually.'

He shared an image of a 'gigantic football dissected by a slide' which is in the six-year-old's actual bedroom.

There was also a chair of Tom Brady's face.

'My ex-wife thinks it's creepy,' added Ben genuinely unsure why Jennifer felt that way.

Summarizing what the Batman star had done, Jimmy said: 'So what you did was once your son indicated that he may be interested in the teams that he grew up around, you decided to just attack him with interior decorating.'

Jimmy later asked Ben if he realized 'how sick that is' and how it would backfire when he's older and interested in girls.

The actor added that he had sent pictures of the room to Patriots player, Tom Brady.

Ben currently co-parents his three kids with Garner.

The acting duo share children Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, six.

Jen and Ben married in 2005 before calling it quits ten years later in 2015. They didn't finalize their divorce until October 2018.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
