A volleyball coach and business owner allegedly installed a hidden camera in the changing rooms of an athletic facility in Chicago to record children using the bathroom.

Michael Liedtke, 34, the owner of Xcel Athletics, has been charged with two counts of child pornography possession and two counts of unauthorized videotaping.

Liedtke was apprehended on Monday after police responded to an anonymous tip-off that a hidden camera had been installed in the bathroom of the DuPage Training Academy in Carol Stream, where the accused runs a volleyball club.

Officers found a video camera hidden above a ceiling tile in the facility's bathroom.

The wire attached to the camera led back to a computer located in Liedtke's officer, police say.

On inspection of his computer, authorities found numerous images of children using the bathroom.

Additional child pornography was also said to be found on the defendant's phone.

A judge ordered he be held on a $250,000 bail bond.

Liedtke was released on Thursday after posting 10 per cent of the specified figure and has been told to avoid interaction with children under the age of 18.

'The allegations against Mr. Liedtke are, in a word, sickening,' Robert Berlin, DuPage County State's Attorney said.

'He allegedly violated not only the privacy of patrons at the facility, but also the trust placed in him by the parents of the athletes he trained.

'The disgusting behavior alleged in this case will be met with the full-force of the law.'

Owner of the DuPage Training Academy, Jeff Kramer, where Liedtke rented space for his athletics club for four years, said none of his employees were involved with the crimes and are all in disbelief about the allegations.

'We want people to understand that this is a place that we want kinds to be and a safe place for kids to be,' Kramer said to WLS-TV.

'We're doing everything we can to make this a safe and trusting environment for kids and parents.

'We've been in business for 18 years.'

No other cameras were found on the property, but investigators say they have an 'awful lot' of forensic computer work to do, suggesting a cache of images on the defendant's device.

Liedtke has no previous criminal charges.

He will reappear in court on February 28.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
