An Ohio professor has alleged in a lawsuit that Wichita State University retracted an employment offer after she told them she was pregnant.

Evangeline Heiliger said she revealed her pregnancy for the first time and asked about childcare in March when she was offered a tenure-track job as the assistant professor of women's studies, according to The Wichita Eagle.

Heiliger, 41, said she applied for the position in late 2017 and was interviewed in February 2018.

In March she was offered the job during a phone call with Center for Women's Studies director Chinyere Okafor.

Heiliger, who is a visiting professor of gender, sexuality and feminist studies at Oberlin College in Ohio, told the newspaper that during the call with Okafor she asked about childcare.

According to the suit, the next day Heiliger received an email from the then-dean Ron Matson who said he 'had become aware that she was no longer available for the position' and was removing her from consideration.

The suit claims that Heiliger never indicated she wasn't available.

'At no point during Dr. Heiliger's conversation with Dr. Okafor did she ever indicate she was not available to accept the position,' the suit reads.

'In fact, after she (Heiliger) received Dean Matson's email, she responded to him indicating she was available and eager to begin the position, to which she never received a response.'

In December, the university said its investigation into Heiliger's claims determined that no laws were broken.

The investigation 'didn't conclude that the university violated the law', the university's lawyer told The Eagle in a statement.

'The university remains committed to creating a fair and equitable workplace and does not discriminate in its employment practices,' the statement read.

Heiliger is seeking more than $75,000 in damages from the university.

She's also seeking payment to cover her court costs and attorney fees.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
