«Breaking News» Met Police arrest teenager for racist offence during Tottenham vs Chelsea's Carabao Cup clash

Police arrested three supporters for racially aggravated offences at Wembley on Tuesday night.

Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 17-year-old male was detained and questioned at a north London police station for anti-Semitic abuse. A 20 and 23-year-old were also detained.

A fourth was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.

All eyes were on fans from both clubs given the intense rivalry between them.

Tottenham and Chelsea had appealed to their supporters to behave ahead of the semi-final. Blues fans were specifically asked not to repeat the anti-Semitic chants often sung at games against Spurs.

Five minutes into Tuesday night’s derby the travelling supporters began their first rendition of a particular chant — the one in which they explain exactly how much they ‘hate Tottenham’.

The punchline is usually the Y-word. Not on Tuesday night, though, which suggested that many had heeded the appeals of their club hierarchy.

After numerous incidents that have put Chelsea fans under the microscope in recent weeks, all eyes were on their fans here.

To their credit, the majority appeared to be on their best behaviour. You would imagine the half-a-dozen or so security spotters who did not take their eyes off them the entire night had something to do with that. So too the fact Chelsea bought their own stewards to Wembley.

Of course, only those in the closest proximity could be certain.

The home fans, however, were using the Y-word, which could be heard on Sky despite their efforts to mute such chants.

Stepping off the Tube and out of Wembley Park station was like emerging in a scene from The Bill, with a heavier than normal police presence.

Likewise, the usual leisurely walk up Wembley Way was far less relaxed — police were everywhere on the route to the stadium. It was a shame that a footballing showpiece should require such measures.

There had been a further spotlight cast on the issue of supporter behaviour earlier in the day, with FA disciplinary chiefs investigating complaints about Nottingham Forest fans who taunted their FA Cup hosts on Saturday at Stamford Bridge with loud chants of ‘Chelsea rent boys’.

The governing body have written to both clubs for their observations.

Two days earlier, a Chelsea supporter had been fined and banned from football for three years after he admitted using homophobic language during a game at Brighton.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
