«Breaking News» Mail carrier caught on camera using PEPPER SPRAY on three dogs fenced in at a Texas home

A postal worker is in hot water for delivering more than just mail when he was caught on surveillance footage pepper-spraying dogs fenced in at a family home.

Giovanni Baena said he noticed something suspicious with his three dogs on December 13, so he went into the yard to investigate.

'They were barking a little more aggressively, and then they just stop,' Baena told WFAA. 'I walked outside and caught a whiff, and it smelled like pepper spray. Then I saw it here on the fence and a spatter on the wood.'

When he checked his home security footage, Baena watched as a mail carrier slipped a stack of letters into his mailbox before shaking up what appears to be a can of mace and discharging it in the direction of the dogs.

The dogs have recovered from the incident, which has left Baena scratching his head as to why it happened.

He admits that his dogs have been known to bark but doesn't understand why someone would feel the need to mace them when they're secured behind a six-foot-tall reinforced fence.

'There’s no reason for them to just come by and spray them,' Baena said. 'Uncalled for, very unnecessary, and unprofessional.'

'They're just dogs, they'll bark at anything.'

The dog owner filed an official complaint with his local post office, and the United States Postal Service has since apologized on behalf of the worker.

A spokesperson for USPS said in a statement to WFAA: 'The Postal Service strives to always provide the best possible service to our valued customers. It is disappointing when, on rare occurrences, we fall short of that goal.

'Local management was made aware of this video shortly after the customer brought it to their attention and it has been addressed with the Letter Carrier.

'This is clearly unacceptable behavior and does not reflect the efforts of the thousands of professional, dedicated Letter Carriers in our workforce. We sincerely apologize to the customer.'

However, when WFAA followed up with the same spokesperson asking about the status of the employee in question, the station was told: 'The Postal Service does not discuss specific employee disciplinary actions or comment on personnel actions or matters that may impact personal privacy.'

In other words, the mace-toting mail carrier may still be out delivering to homes.

'I don’t want that guy here again. I don’t want him doing my route,' Baena said in response.

The homeowner said he had reported another mail carrier for pepper-spraying one of his dogs in 2016. An online police report appears to corroborate that claim, saying a 'suspect' sprayed his dog in the face and caused its eyes to swell.

The USPS would not confirm whether the postal worker in the video has been fired

The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
