Details about Hogan's tribute to Okerlund were not given, but their friendship spanned several decades.

Both Hogan and interviewer Okerlund joined WWE, then known as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the early 1980s.

Their interviews together quickly became legendary, with Okerlund even teaming with Hogan in the ring in 1984.

Okerlund made his in-ring debut alongside Hogan for a tag-team match against Mr. Fuji and George 'The Animal' Steele, with weekly training segments airing during WWF broadcasts.

Hogan and Okerlund stayed with WWF until 1993, when Okerlund switched over to the rival World Championship Wrestling (WCW), with Hogan defecting a year later.

Okerlund stayed with WCW until 2001, when he returned to the WWE in a variety of different capacities.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006, by none other than Hulk Hogan.

After Okerlund's death on Wednesday, Hogan sent out a number of tweets in tribute, including, 'Mean Gene I love you my brother HH.'

In another tweet, he added a picture of his 'favorite martini,' adding he was 'Celebrating Mean Gene and our friendship.'

On Wednesday afternoon, he shared a photo of himself and Okerlund from the 1980s, along with a heartfelt tribute.

'The best partner I ever had,' Hogan said. 'We never rehearsed or did anything scripted from a writer,' the wrestling legend added.

'Gene would ask me "hey big man what do u want to do?" I would always answer "just follow you brother" and it worked from 1980 - 2017,' he added.

'RIP my brother HH,' Hogan concluded.

The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
