«Breaking News» Hugh Grant has bought a £17.5million six-bedroom semi-detached home in Chelsea

He might be famous for starring in hit movie, Notting Hill - but Hugh Grant is more likely to be spotted in Chelsea after purchasing a £17.5million property there.

According to The Sun, the 58-year-old actor bought the six-bedroom semi-detached home at the end of last year.

He moved in with his wife, Anna Eberstein, 38, and their three children and it's on one of the most exclusive streets in the area.

Their neighbours include Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews.

The paper reports that Hugh bought the property outright and rents out his former Notting Hill abode, bought in 2016 for £10million for £7000 per month.

He bought the property with Anna, 17 years after starring as bookshop owner, Will Thacker, who was based in the Notting Hill area in the the film of the same name.

The 1999 romcom, also starring Julia Roberts, grossed $370million worldwide and is still Grant's most successful film.

The abode is a handsome semi-detached property which sits in a leafy crescent, according to The Sunday Times.

It is only a few blocks away from his character's home with the well-known blue door. In the film Thacker lives with oddball Welshman 'Spike', played by Rhys Ifans.

Hugh spent £500k on renovations on the property before renting it out.

They add that he bought a £1.2million home for Tinglan Hong, the mother of two of his children back in 2011.

In 2015, he spent more than £500,000 on a villa in the resort of Torekov, Sweden, adding to a portfolio of homes in London.

He owns a home in Chelsea purchased for £2.1million in 2000 and previously bought a £3.6million terraced property in Fulham, for Tinglan in 2013.

Grant and Jemima Khan, his then partner, reportedly paid £18million for a six-bedroom mansion on Chelsea Square in 2006.

It sold for £25million in 2009 but it was not known whether Grant or Khan still owned it at the time.

Hugh is said to be worth around £60million from his incredible movie career, which has seen him star in About A Boy, Love Actually and Bridget Jones' diary.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
