«Breaking News» Magic Pulse withdrawn in error at Nottingham after Operative declared a non-runner

Embarrassed BHA officials are trying to unpick another human-error foul-up which caused a legitimate runner to be withdrawn at Nottingham.

After being unruly in the stalls before the KFE Leaders In Frying Excellence Handicap, Operative was withdrawn but the starter erroneously reported that the horse to be withdrawn was Magic Pulse.

This wrong information had been transmitted to the off-course betting market as well as to racegoers on track before it was corrected around 90 seconds later.

The confusion left on-course officials feeling they had to withdraw both horses to minimise the betting damage.

A BHA spokesman conceded: 'It was the best of a number of bad options.'

David Griffiths, trainer of Magic Pulse, described the situation as a 'comedy of errors'.

Brant Dunshea, the BHA's Chief Regulatory Officer, said: 'It goes without saying that the entire team are disappointed that Magic Pulse was withdrawn in error. We are acutely aware of the impact that an incident of human error like this can have, not least on the connections of the horse.

'We will take a full and frank look into what happened before determining what steps we will now take.'

The BHA has endured a series of human error incidents from its on-course professional staff in recent months which have damaged its reputation. These have included photo-finishes being judged erroneously.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
