A syndicate of dodgy electricians offering cheap wiring and unmetered access to the power grid have been linked to the death of a young carpenter.
Luke Bray, 24, was electrocuted while working in the roof of a home in Carlton, in Sydney's south, in February.
Power was switched off at the mains, but is believed to have been still flowing into the house via illegal wiring without the tradesman's knowledge.
Police have released images of two men they believe can assist with their enquiries into the dodgy syndicate
'There was another wire coming into the house … poor young kid, and his workmates were devastated,' a neighbour told The Daily Telegraph.
Paramedics desperately tried to save Mr Bray - a former Navy sailor from far north Queensland - but were unable to revive him.
Just months earlier emergency services were called to the nearby suburb of Bexley where a single-storey brick and tile home was engulfed in flames.
Police have released images of two men they believe can assist with their enquiries into the two incidents.

St George Police Area Command's crime manager, Detective Inspector Damian Henry, said unlawful and dangerous work may have been carried out by the syndicate.
'Police believe these people are still operating in the Sydney area,' Detective Inspector Henry said.
'We are urging the community to check the licences of any tradespeople they may wish to use.
'We hold serious concerns for the welfare of any person within properties where this type of electrical work has been conducted, as it has the potential to result in fire, serious injury or even death.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
