«Breaking Pic News» Jordan Henderson happy to welcome Joe Gomez back into England squad

Jordan Henderson has welcomed Joe Gomez back into the England fold, declaring his Liverpool team-mate can be 'as good as he wants to be'.

Gomez was in line to be part of England's World Cup adventure after a man-of-the-match performance against Brazil on his full debut until injury intervened and left him on the sidelines as Gareth Southgate's squad reached the semi-finals in Russia.

A strong start to the season at the heart of the Reds defence has propelled him straight back into the reckoning and the 21-year-old is battling for a starting spot against Spain on Saturday, when England kick-off the inaugural Nations League at Wembley.

Henderson has seen Gomez's development up close in recent years and expects him to thrive with the Three Lions.

'He's already very good but he can be even better,' the Anfield skipper told Sky Sports News.

'He's still young, still improving, still learning. There's no better place for that than Liverpool, with the players he's got around him.

'Here (with England) is a fantastic environment too - with the players, the manager, the staff - for him to bring that form to England and show how good he is against the very best players in the world.

'I'm excited for him. He has the right mentality and is very mature for his age. His feet are firmly on the ground and he can be as good as he wants to be.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
