A Hollywood actor who went to Syria to join the anti-ISIS fight says he is struggling to find a safe country to return to after facing trouble getting re-entry to both the U.S. and U.K.
Michael Enright, who is British but moved to Los Angeles when he was 19 to become an actor, went to Syria in 2015 to join the Kurdish YPG militia in a bid to take down the Islamic State.
The 55-year-old is currently living in Central America and has launched an online campaign - Bring Michael Home - while he waits for re-entry to the United States.

Enright, who starred in Pirates of the Caribbean alongside Johnny Depp, left Syria in 2017 and has been trying to come back to the U.S. ever since.
He says he fears going back to his native U.K. because there is a chance he could be questioned on terrorism charges because he fought in a foreign war.
Enright told Fox News that he was made to believe that if he collected intelligence for the U.S. then he would be allowed to return.
'When I first left America I knew there would be a risk I would not be able to come back, but I felt so compelled to go,' he said.
'I had first come to America when I was 19. I had no work experience and no family there, but it became my home.
'I love America, I want to be there.'

Enright has previously told of how he was part of the Syrian Democratic Forces - a loose alliance dominated by the YPG - as they stormed Raqqa
After completing his first 'tour' with the YPG in Syria back in 2015, Enright said he tried to re-enter the U.S. via Mexico but was detained.
He had overstayed his initial U.S. visa and was subsequently detained for six weeks when they found he had been in Syria.
Enright said he was then flown back to U.K. by Homeland Security officers and questioned further by U.S. authorities.
He claims one official told him that if he helped catch 'a bad guy' they would let him enter the U.S. again.
Enright said he went back to Syria in 2016 and gathered intelligence to give to U.S. officials.
He helped interogate ISIS prisoners and handed over names and signatures of those he believed to be American, Canadian and Australian.
Before he fought terrorists, Enright was a Hollywood actor and appeared in big-budget films and mingled with movie stars like Anne Hathaway and Tom Cruise
He has previously shared footage of himself and other fighters engaged in sniper fire with ISIS fanatics
The former actor said he left Syria for good in November 2017 but still hasn't been allowed to enter the U.S. despite handing over intelligence.
He has had roles alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean and Tom Cruise in Knight and Day, as well as appearances on TV shows including CSI, Law and Order, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
He said a movie studio had offered him a job in Hollywood on a film about the YPG.
Enright has previously told of how he was part of the Syrian Democratic Forces - a loose alliance dominated by the YPG - as they stormed Raqqa.
He has shared footage of him and other fighters engaged in sniper fire with ISIS fanatics.
Enright said he had decided to join the fight against ISIS as a volunteer after reading about their rape and slaughter of the Yazidis, an ethnic minority in Syria and Iraq.
The actor said he wanted to avenge the hundreds of Yazidi women who have been captured by ISIS fighters and kept as sex slaves.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
