«Breaking Pic News» Coyote Ugly star Piper Perabo is arrested at Kavanaugh hearing

Actress Piper Perabo says she was among a string of women who got arrested at the raucous first day of Judge Brett Kavanaugh's Senate confirmation hearing Tuesday.

The 'Coyote Ugly' star posted video of herself being escorted out of the hearing room by Capitol Police while the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing was underway.

Another woman held up a 'Be a Hero' shirt, while other women yelled about the hearing and demanded members vote no.

In video she posted, Perabo can be seen being taken out of the hearing room as an officer puts his hand on her arm.

“I was just arrested for civil disobedience in the Kavanaugh hearings,” wrote Perabo, also known for “Covert Affairs.”

“Many citizens before me have fought for the equal rights of women. I can’t be silent when someone is nominated to the Supreme Court who would take our equal rights away.”

The protest came just as Democratic senators were staging their own opposition to Kavanaugh. Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal was saying Democrats had been 'denied the documents we need' after the release of 42,000 documents from Kavanaugh's time in the Bush White House just hours before the hearing began.

Perabo said Kavanaugh would 'take our equal rights away'

The protest began as a women yelled ''This is a mockery and a travesty of justice,' while Perabo, in white t-shirt, remained seated

He said it turned the hearing into a 'charade.'

'This is a mockery and a travesty of justice,' yelled one unidentified protester.

'We need you to be a hero,' yelled another woman. 

Peper gets removed before she had the chance to yell something audible. Her exit was followed by that of two other women, according to another video shared by another activist, Fox News reported. 

It wasn't immediately clear how Capitol Police processed the protesters. After recent Hart building protests, those booked were quickly processed and required to return to pay a fine. 

Perabo appeared in the 200 film 'Coyote Ugly' about a movie about a woman from New Jersey who moves to New York to become a song writer and works in a bar.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
