«Breaking Pic News» Chiara Ferragni’s nuptials had more ‘media value’ than Meghan Markle's

Chiara Ferragni's show-stopping nuptials - and multiple bridal gowns - have already become one of the most-talked about social events of the year.

Now the Italian It-girl's Siciliy wedding has been officially declared as bigger than the royal wedding, after experts compared its 'media impact value' to Meghan's.

Analysts at Launchmetrics calculated how much each bride 'earned' for their respective dress designers, with the fashion blogger raking in almost twice as much as the Duchess of Sussex.

Media impact value (MIV) is an algorithm formulated by Launchmetrics to measure the value digital coverage and media placements bring to a brand.

Huge congratulations are in order for Italian ‘it’ girl Chiara Ferragni and her rapper beau Fedez as they tied the knot in Sicily over the weekend!

Chiara looked absolutely stunning in a custom-made couture wedding gown by Dior. Her ensemble comprised a white lace romper and A-line tulle overskirt, which gave the illusion of a full-length gown.

Completed with a seemingly endless veil and the brand’s iconic sling back shoes, Chiara was an absolute vision!

In the case of Ferragni, who made headlines around the globe with her high-profile, hashtag-heavy nuptials last weekend, they estimate she brought in  $5.2 million (£4 million) for Dior including $1.6 million (£1.2 million) from posts about her dresses alone.

The marketing platform reports that the social media savvy couple's hashtag #TheFerragnez garnered a total of 67 million engagements (likes, comments, shares and mentions).

In total, Dior accounted for 15 per cent of the total MIV at Ferragni's wedding, compared to just 7 per cent of the royal wedding's MIV for Meghan's dress designer, Givenchy.

Simply put, this means the Italian It-girl's wedding dress had double the impact of Meghan's.

One person who wasn't impressed by the dress was acid-tongued fashion chief Stefano Gabbana who labelled it 'cheap' in his latest social media slur.

Gabbana's comment appeared underneath a photograph on Harper's Bazaar UK's Instagram page, and attracted dozens of replies from horrified fans.

'Cheap,' he commented, with no other explanation.

Ferragni's star-studded wedding also raked in millions for labels such as Prada, Alberta Ferretti and Lancôme thanks to careful product placement on Instagram.

For her third wedding dress, Chiara swapped the floor-length skirt for a ballerina tutu for a more relaxed evening look. In total, Dior accounted for 15 per cent of the total MIV at Ferragni's wedding, compared to just 7 per cent of the royal wedding's MIV for Meghan's dress designer, Givenchy

Her second wedding dress was a nude fairytale-inspired gown, with embroidered detailing and a full tulle skirt.

By contrast, Meghan tied the knot with Prince Harry at St. George's Chapel, Windor Castle on May 19 in a simple bateau beck from Givenchy - later changing into a slinky halterneck number by Stella McCartney.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
