Celebrities are coming together to call for the end of big game hunting, sharing a shocking image of a female hunter smiling and holding a slaughtered leopard.
The trophy hunting photo went viral after it was posted on the Safari Club International (SCI) website on September 7 in its 'Record Book', and the giant cat is said to be the ninth largest ever hunted.
The huntress was identified as Britany L, who is a member of the SCI based in Tuscon, Arizona.
The photo was shared by animal activist David Bonnouvrier on Friday where it caught the attention of celebrities like supermodel Naomi Campbell, Doutzen Kroes, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards.
Celebrities are slamming a female hunter named Britany L who has gone viral for smiling and posing with the giant leopard she killed. The picture was originally shared on the Safari Club International (SCI) website and went viral soon afterwards
Supermodel Naomi Campbell shared the picture with animal activist David Bonnouvrier's caption condemning big game hunting
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards shared the shocking image on Instagram writing: 'I know this is upsetting to see but if we don't speak up this will never stop'
Supermodel Doutzen Kroes shared the image saying: 'The woman in the picture should be ashamed of herself!'
Actress Carré Otis shared the photo as well writing: 'Make trophy hunting a crime!'
The stars shared the image on their respective Instagram accounts - shaming the woman for her conquest and urging for the end of animal hunting.
'A very large male Leopard recently killed by Britany L. Member of the safari club international based in Tucson, AZ call them and give them a piece of your mind,' Bonnouvrier, the founder of Knot My Planet, captioned his photo.
Doutzen shared the shocking image on Saturday writing: 'How can you find pride and pleasure in killing a beautiful animal like this large male Leopard.'
'The woman in the picture should be ashamed of herself! I find this disgusting and I’m so upset, sad and angry that this still happens!! #stopbiggamehunting,' she added.
Richards shared the image on Instagram as well.
'I know this is upsetting to see but if we don’t speak up this will never stop,' she said on Saturday to her 2.2million followers.
American actress and model Carré Otis also shared the image writing: 'UNCONSCIOUSNESS HARD AT WORK. Whoever you are, you should be ashamed of yourself!! Make trophy hunting a crime!'
Campbell reposted the image on Instagram and Twitter with Bonnouvrier's original caption.
According to the SCI website's blog, the leopard was the ninth largest to ever be hunted.
Although Britany, who is based in Arizona, is taking the online heat for her kill, the SCI website record's page shows a myriad of other hunters posing with their kills such as giant elks and peacocks.
Twitter users have also chimed in on the controversial photo.
'What kind of person flies to another continent to kill an animal for bragging rights and a trophy?? A terrible human being!!!!!' one Twitter user wrote.
'This is what social media should be used for, finding & stopping people who think this is acceptable! #stopbiggamehunting,' blogger Carly Rowena wrote.
'WHY!? How can you kill a beautiful creature like that and then stand there with a smile!? What is wrong with you!? #stopbiggamehunting,' another added.
But this isn't the first time that hunters have been slammed on the internet for their kills.
In July American hunter Tess Thompson Talley, 37, was heavily criticized for posing next to a giraffe she shot and killed in South Africa.
Earlier this year a Canberra businessman was shamed online for sharing a photo next to a dead baboon that was dressed in a hat and sunglasses.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
