«Breaking News» Outraged fans brand Nick Cummins 'fake' and the 'WORST Bachelor ever'

The Bachelor fans have turned their backs on Nick Cummins, unleashing a barrage of abuse after he sent Cassandra Wood home in tears on Thursday's episode.

The former Wallaby was widely criticised for failing to acknowledge the 24-year-old student's emotional departure from the show on Instagram, instead choosing to share a light-hearted sponsored post for Tradie Underwear.

One outraged viewer commented on Nick's account: 'I think Cassandra dodged a bullet. Nick, you have to be the fakest Bachelor we've ever had. You're a great actor. And we [can] see that it won't work out for that exact reason - it's all an act. Stick to your pathetic Tradie ads.'

Another furious comment read: 'So Cass acknowledges the episode on social media and her heartbreak and all you do is a paid post for Tradie Underwear. Clearly you have zero care factor and [are] out to make some cash off the back of the show.

'At least get a decent social media strategist to do [a] post acknowledging what happened with Cass. You're not coming across very genuine. Boosting your profile but cheapening it at the same time...'

Meanwhile, one viewer suggested that he was getting 'paid too much money to give a s**t about breaking a girl's heart or caring about anyone other than himself.'

'You sure as s**t haven't made sense as the Bachelor': Another suggested that the 30-year-old sportsman should have respectfully quit the show early because he was so 'out of [his] depth'

It was further alleged that Nick was 'more concerned about his TV image' than finding love and had signed up for the show for 'money and fame'.

One viewer even suggested that the 30-year-old sportsman should have respectfully quit the show early because he was so 'out of [his] depth'.

'Worst Bachelor season ever,' they wrote. '[You're] in too deep. Could have kept your profile intact if you had admitted and backed out of the series in the first couple of weeks when it was obvious you were in over your head, out of your depth.'

'S**t person': Many fans sympathised with Cassandra, who was clearly infatuated with the rugby player after they briefly dated before the show, and criticised Nick for leading her on. Pictured: Nick saying goodbye to Cassandra before sending her home on Thursday's episode

Many fans sympathised with Cassandra, who was clearly infatuated with the rugby player after they briefly dated before the show, and criticised Nick for leading her on.

'If you didn't have feelings for Cass, why would you drag her through this? Typical male! [You] played her once then twice and shattered her to pieces! Even if you were mates, you think you would have treated her better. S**t mate, s**t person.

'Poor Cass, she deserves so much better than this. And then to say, "I hope we can still be friends", you're kidding, right?'

Another comment read: 'You knew you were never going to pick Cassie and you dragged the poor girl through a TV show and the show made her look like a fool. You're a d**k!'

The fan backlash comes as Nick appears to distance himself from the Bachelor franchise, rarely acknowledging his involvement on his social media accounts.

While the contestants and host Osher Günsberg have been enthusiastically posting about the show, promoting upcoming episodes and reacting to storylines on Twitter and Instagram, Nick has instead been plugging his other business interests.

In addition to spruiking Tradie Underwear, he has been sharing sponsored posts for Iron Jack Beer and GoPro, as well as advertising his upcoming book The Honey Badger Guide to Life and Netflix show Ultimate Beastmaster.

Daily Mail Australia revealed last week that Nick will actually be overseas when the Bachelor finale airs on Thursday, October 4.

He will instead be in Papua New Guinea leading an 11-day Kokoda Trail, which means he won't be around for the annual promotional tour with the show's winner.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed earlier this month that Nick was no longer dating the show's winner, who is widely rumoured to be Brittany Hockley.

A production source said: 'The Honey Badger's relationship is already over. This is obviously not what we wanted.'

After Daily Mail Australia contacted Network Ten and Nick's manager for a response to the fan backlash, Nick disabled comments on his Tradie Underwear post.

He also deleted all of the negative posts.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
