An Instagram account has pointed out the uncanny similarities between Anna Wintour and fictional fashion editor Miranda Priestly from the film The Devil Wears Prada, which is believed to be based on her.
According to Diet Prada, ahead of the Michael Kors New York Fashion Week show starting, the Vogue editor-in-chief's blonde assistant was seen waiting by her boss's seat with a Starbucks coffee in hand.
The founders of the satirical account explained they had been watching the livestream of the show and noticed that it imitated several scenes from the movie where Anne Hathaway's lead character Andy Sachs had to have a coffee waiting for her every day.
Reality: Instagram account Diet Prada shared a photo collage featuring Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada (top) and Anna Wintour's alleged assistant with her coffee (bottom)
In real life: The account explained they'd been watching the livestream of the Michael Kors show and noticed that it imitated several scenes from the movie
'When life imitates art imitating life lol,' the post was captioned.
'This morning, during the @michaelkors SS19 live stream, we were blessed to witness an IRL Devil Wears Prada moment...an unknown intern/assistant diligently waiting for Anna’s arrival with her morning coffee in hand.'
The photo collage shared by Diet Prada features a picture of Andy hurriedly making a Starbucks run as well as photos of the alleged real-life assistant and Anna, 68, holding her coffee in her hand.
Meryl Streep played Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, which is based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name.
Dedicated: The picture shows Anna's alleged blonde assistant waiting at the Vogue editor-in-chief's assigned seat so she could give her Starbucks coffee
Caught on camera: Another snapshot from the collage shows Anna, 68, holding her Starbucks coffee cup
Added accessory: The Starbucks cup was also seen sitting at Anna's feet while she was on her phone
Keeping caffeinated: Anna appeared to be the only one in her row with a coffee
The author once worked as Anna's assistant, and the book is believed to be a roman à clef of her time working under Vogue's notoriously demanding editor-in-chief.
Anna has long been cited as the inspiration behind the icy editor as there are an alarming number of similarities between them.
Big screen: The film is based on Lauren Weisberger's novel of the same name
In the novel, both Miranda and Anna are British and run major fashion magazines; they both worked started their magazine careers overseas before moving to New York, and they both have signature styles.
While Anna is known for wearing dark sunglasses — even when she is inside — Miranda just as frequently dons a white Hermès scarf. The also both have two children, enjoy playing tennis, and have had marriages that ended in divorce.
Many of those similarities carried over to the film, including the importance of Miranda always having her coffee.
In one scene Meryl's character coldly asks: 'Is there some reason that my coffee isn’t here? Has she died or something?'
Anna attended the New York premiere of The Devil Wears Prada in 2006, and her spokesman issued a statement the following day: 'She thought it was very entertaining. It was a satire. What's not to like?'
Although Anna has dismissed comparisons to Miranda, Diet Prada's post makes it clear that she does like coffee and someone is bringing it to her.
Similarities: The author once worked as Anna's assistant, and Meryl Streep's icy character, Miranda Priestly, is long believed to have been inspired by the Vogue editor-in-chief
Duty: In the film, the character Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) has to make sure Miranda has her coffee every day
In addition to the photo shared by Diet Prada, which shows Anna holding her Starbucks cup, it was also seen on the floor in front of her while she was on her phone ahead of the show's start.
Last year, in honor of Meryl, 69, covering the December issue of Vogue, Anna and the actress came face-to-face for an on screen interview that alluded to her role in the film.
The Vogue video shows the Oscar winner being asked about the 'most 'challenging' role she has played.
She looks as if she is about to say Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada, but Anna says, 'We're not going there Meryl,' and the two laugh.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
