Bargain of the week

Taste the Difference Cotes Du Jura Chardonnay, £9, Sainsbury’s

A ripe, peachy white from the tucked away wine-producing region of Jura in eastern France. It’s only an hour further east from Burgundy but the wines don’t get much attention. This one will, especially at this price.

White wine

Tesco Finest Organic Chilean Sauvignon Blanc 2017, £9, Tesco

More organic wines are creeping into the supermarkets. This one made with Chilean grapes grown in San Antonio Valley is lively and fresh with gooseberry and lime flavours.

Food pairing: Salmon steaks

Red wine

Feudo del Principe Syrah 2015, Ocado, £15.45

Worth splashing out on this if you love your reds big, bold and bursting with black fruits. Made from the Syrah grape grown in Sicily, it’s aged for a year in French oak barrels adding a sophisticated touch of spice.

Food pairing: Slow roasted lamb

Sparkling wine

Mount Bluff Sparkling Brut NV, Marks & Spencer, £13.50

Gorgeous sparkler from New Zealand, this is a blend of two classic champagne grapes Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Rich and toasty with fresh citrus flavours and a touch of creaminess, it’s seriously good value fizz.

Food pairing: Posh crisps

Homemade Cocktails by Helen McGinn (£10.99, Robinson) is available now.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
