«Breaking News» Julie Chen quits The Talk as she stands by her disgraced hubby

Julie Chen is reportedly leaving her CBS hosting job at The Talk as she stands by her shamed husband Les Moonves who resigned last week amid sexual misconduct allegations.

A source confirmed to Page Six: 'She is definitely leaving The Talk and will 100 percent stay with Les.

The insider added of the Big Brother host: 'I wouldn’t be surprised if CBS asked her not to come back.

'When she'll depart the show is unclear. It could be this week, or she could do it after Big Brother, but she will be leaving.'

DailyMail.com reached out to The Talk for further comment on Chen's departure. An email sent late Monday night was not immediately returned.

A top PR exec slammed Chen late last week as 'complicit' after she signaled support of her accused sexual abuser husband by using his last name when she signed off of Big Brother.

Chen returned to TV Thursday for the first time since Moonves resigned as CEO of CBS following accusations of decades of sexual misconduct at the cable giant.

At the end of the episode she signed off by saying: 'From outside the Big Brother house, I'm Julie Chen Moonves. Good night.'

It is said to have been the first time Chen has used her married name on the show shes been hosting for nearly two decades.

Public relations powerhouse Danny Delaney reacted to what many saw as a show of support.

He tweeted: 'Tonight, Julie Chen signed off Big Brother as Julie Chen Moonves, firmly standing w/her husband, a serial sexual assaulter who ruined careers. She is complicit.

'Because of this, I will no longer put any of my clients on @TheTalkCBS. Fellow publicists, I hope you stand with me.'

Delaney's words could have a considerable impact especially because he represents one of Moonves' alleged victims, Illeana Douglas.

In a second tweet Delaney wrote: 'Les Moonves assaulted my client and it looks like dozens of others. How Julie Chen? How can you stand by this?

'Power and status is worth more to you thank women's empowerment. This is now your legacy.'

The publicist named one of the top celebrity crisis communications experts by the New York Observer also represents Roseanna Arquette and Laura Benanti.

Earlier this week Chen chose not to fill her regular spot as a panelist on The Talk in the aftermath of her husband's departure, opting for the solo gig on the reality program instead.

Chen, 48, did not directly address any of the controversy surrounding her husband or his departure from CBS as chairman and CEO.

Back in July, Chen came out and immediately supported her husband when the first allegations about sexual misconduct arose.

'Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader,' she tweeted.

'He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement.'

None of the alleged incidents happened during Moonves and Chen's 14 year marriage. The pair tied the knot in 2004, two weeks after his divorce from his first wife was finalized

The insider a...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
