A recently drafted Los Angeles Lakers basketball player was caught flirting with a woman in a wheelchair by his devastated girlfriend of more than six years.
The flirting was caught on camera and then shown to the world, and the man's furious partner, in an episode of To Catch A Cheater released last week, in which the player was approached by a woman while sitting outside at what appears to be a coffee shop or restaurant.
During the video, the girlfriend watches as her boyfriend — whose identity remains unidentified — first appear reluctant towards the woman before later asking her to go on a date with him.
Worried: A woman dating a recently drafted Los Angeles Laker basketball player enlisted To Catch A Cheater to see if her boyfriend would be unfaithful to her
Upset: The YouTube series employed a woman to flirt with the basketball player in order to see whether he would be tempted to cheat
Flirtatious: After talking for a few minutes, the woman got the unidentified basketball player to ask her out on a date for the following week
Shocked: The girlfriend was surprised when her boyfriend asked for the woman's number and even made plans with her
To Catch A Cheater secretly sets up hidden cameras where a partner is and tries to catch them being unfaithful to their significant other.
Before playing the footage, host Luis Mercado asked the girlfriend why she decided to go on the show since she had been dating her boyfriend for six years.
'I do feel bad for doing this, because I should trust him,' she said.
'I was there for him through thick and thin, and he was no one when I met him. Now that he got drafted, the least he can do is be there for me.
'I just want to make sure that love prevails.'
Her boyfriend was recently drafted to the LA Lakers, which made her decide to check if he would cheat on her or not.
At the beginning of the interaction, the woman in the wheelchair first passes by the NBA player and pretends to think he is Lebron James.
'You look so like (Lebron James), though,' the woman said after the basketball player admitted to not being Lebron.
'I love him but you’re cuter. You’re the hot version.'
Minutes into the interaction between the two people, the boyfriend started to appear flattered by the woman coming onto him and even told her to follow him on social media.
The boyfriend then even went as far as to ask about a ring on her finger to make sure the woman was in fact single before returning some of her flirty commentary.
'I see you got a little ring on your finger,' he asked.
The woman replied: 'Oh this? I was engaged but, of course, we broke off the engagement and I just love my ring. I model, that’s why I’m all dressed up.'
Sad: She started crying after her boyfriend claimed he had no girlfriend and even called her his cousin instead of his significant other
Hurt: 'This is more than cheating,' she said. 'I was there for him. I gave him six years of my life. And he just…he said I’m his cousin'
Mad: The girlfriend stormed out of the video and said she had no clue what she was going to do about her relationship after viewing the footage
In an attempt to see if the man would agree to a date, the woman took her flirting up a notch.
'I would love to see you again,' she said. 'It’d be great, I mean, I love basketball. I’d love to come to one of your games.'
To the surprise of the girlfriend, the NBA player then made plans with the woman to meet up for dinner the following Tuesday.
After setting a time to meet up, the woman asked if the man was seeing anybody. The basketball player tried to avoid answering the question by providing a vague response about his relationship status.
'I mean, I’m seeing somebody right now but I wouldn’t say that I am talking to anybody,' he said. 'I’m meeting new people, creating new relationships.'
After the woman asked about a specific picture on his Instagram account, the boyfriend lied and called the female in the picture his cousin instead of admitting it was his girlfriend.
Once the footage ended, Luis asked the girlfriend if she felt what she just saw could be considered cheating since the pair never did anything physical.
'This is more than cheating,' she said. 'I was there for him. I gave him six years of my life. And he just…he said I’m his cousin.'
The girlfriend then stormed out of the place where she watched the footage saying she didn't know 'what the f***' she was going to do about her relationship.
It remains unclear if the couple is still together after the interaction the girlfriend witnessed.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
