«Breaking News» England boss Gareth Southgate gets hands on in training as he chases Fabian Delph

Gareth Southgate was left livid after his side were denied a late equaliser against Spain in the Nations League on Saturday night, but the England manager showed his jovial side in training on Sunday.

Southgate felt that Danny Welbeck's late effort, which was ruled out for a challenge on goalkeeper David De Gea, should have stood, with England falling to a 2-1 defeat at Wembley.

The players who were on the bench against Spain, with the exception of Danny Rose, who entered the fray in the 53rd minute as a replacement for the injured Luke Shaw, were in attendance during the training session at St George's Park.

Southgate seemed to be particularly enjoying himself as he attempted to chase Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, who succeeded in getting away from him.

With numbers depleted, Southgate spent part of the session as a player, where he was joined by the likes of Welbeck, Kyle Walker and Eric Dier.

Others who didn't start against Spain include talented youngsters Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as Burnley defender James Tarkowski.

Goalkeepers Jack Butland, Alex McCarthy and Marcus Bettinelli also trained as the England squad maintained their fitness.

Southgate could make several alterations to his side for Tuesday's friendly against Switzerland, which is being played at Leicester's King Power Stadium.

Welbeck, who was lively following his introduction off the bench against Spain, is amongst those who will be aiming to start.

McCarthy and Bettinelli, meanwhile, are the only two uncapped members of the England squad and will be hoping to be involved in some capacity against Switzerland.

The loss to Spain saw England suffer their third defeat in succession - the first time that has happened for thirty years -  and they will be determined to return to winning ways against a Switzerland side that commenced their own Nations League campaign with a 6-0 thrashing of Iceland.

After receiving much praise for England's progression to the semi-finals at the World Cup, Southgate is aware that another defeat would enable doubts to creep back in. Should England be beaten it would represent their worst losing run ever.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
